I totally agree with everyone. If you don't feel comfortable with your vet, or don't think she is doing a thorough enough job, then by all means switch. You may want to talk to other dog owners in your neighborhood to see which vets they use and how they feel about them. I am so glad Lexi got a clean bill of health.  And don't worry about her being a bit "chunky". If Italians are anything like Hispanics, you know we aren't truly "healthy" unless we have "a little meat on our bones." :D |
yeah she wasnt friendly, im all bubbly and stuff like that. for instance, there was a pink or reddish spot on lexi's head and i said to the vet, whats this on her head. looked like blood or something. oh she said did you kiss her head, looks like the same color of your lipstick. yes i felt like a jerk so i cracked up and so did my b/f... she didnt even say a word,,no sense of humor... |

you want to know something, no she is not itching, scratching at all.. she was eating beneful.. not good for her, but thats what she liked.. now shes getting used to the merrick... it must of been a mild allergy to the corn in the food.., |
If it was a chk-up the vet should of looked in ears, mouth, listened to her heart. specially for $105!!! I would have been pissed as well! |
Some vets don't have that "bedside manner" and don't seem cut-out for their jobs. I'm glad Lexi checked out OK, even if you wimped out, which is what I sometimes do!:D |
Glad Lexi had a good check up! The vets I use always hold Cali when I am in there and take back and show the others and you can tell they really love animals. Iwould be aftaid that if I you had to take Lexi in for something non routine, hopefully not, that she would not be very understanding. My vets always do a thorough check up of my dogs each visit even though Cali is usually in there at least once a month for something. |
