You will NOT believe this !!! My little angel ( with 2 small horns on her head) will not listen to me, no matter what I do. My husband is the alpha male in the house, and she will do anything he tells her, but with me it's a different story.... She will bite me all the time, sometimes even growl and bark at me when I'll tell her NO.(she think that I'm her littermate, so she can boss me around). But listen to that, I'm sitting on my couch with her ,and she is going crazy on me, biting and all the bizarre things she does, So I took half-empty plastic bottle of water that was standing on the table next to me, and shake it at her while saying NO BITING. And WOW it worked. She became quiet and obedient. WOW:eek: I'm soo happy that it worked, BC her bitting was getting out of my hands. So everyone please cross yours fingers, that it will stay this way!!! My little munchkin is soo good right now. YAY |
I'm glad you found something that works and hope she continues to be a little "angel":D |
so glad you found something to work for you! my husband is also the alpha male in are home, when he speaks, all ears are pointed and they no he is speaking, he has that more deep rough voice. I use a water squirt bottle for training Lillie cause she HATES water, so this works well for us, when she is mis behaving all I do is squirt her and say "No Lillie" and it has really helped. Good luck to you! |
I am so glad that you found something that works!! I know how those razor teeth can hurt!!! Funny she listens more to daddy than mommy!! Just like children they learn they can get away with more with mom!! |
Glad to read you've found something that works. Those little puppy teeth can hurt - although they don't mean to hurt you, they think they are just playing. |
I think anything you can do that will distract them when they are misbehaving is effective. That is why the pennies in a can thing works when they are barking. According to the Dog Whisperer Cesar Milan, breaking a dog out of his concentration when he/she is doing something wrong, gets the attention back to you and then you can correct them. He uses the "shhh" sound to break them out of bad behavior and follows it with a quick correction. That is exactly what you are doing when you shake the bottle and say "no bite". You distract her, then you correct her. Good for you, you were acting like a true dog behaviorist and didn't even know it!!;) |
HEY!!! whatever works! |
LOL i use the fly swatter i never hit him with and never have but if i wave it in the air they know i mean business it's so funny they stop dead in there tracks and sit then look at me to see what i want LOL |
