How long do you leave in your pony tail? I change it every few days, but by then its a bit tangled so I cut it out. Should these be changed daily to avoid this? |
BUY Munckin Minis... same price and you never have to cut them out:thumbup:   |
I've never heard of these. Are they made for dogs, or can I get them from someplace like Walmart? |
I put Lillies up in the AM and take it out and massage her head before she goes to bed! |

I take Cali's ponytail out every day when I comb her and put it back in when I'm done. |

Jake will mess his up within about 4 hrs :) I only really tie it up if we are going out, leaving it down when he's around the house. |

Same here! I just imagine how it feels for ME to have my hair up in any style for a whole day and how GOOOOD it feels when you finally take it out - imagine having a ponytail in for a couple days and how uncomfortable that would feel. Oscar loves his little head massage when the hair comes down! :) |
twice a day,,, in the morning i redo it and the evening i redo it, and back up it goes.. i take out the ponytail with the comb |

To those of you who take it out at bedtime, the hair in their eyes doesn't bother them? I've thought it would be nice to remove it at bedtime but Sugar's hair flops right over his eyes, past his nose and even gets in his mouth. I hate that his poor little head never gets a break but it seems like he'd be so uncomfortable with his hair everywhere. |
Kizzy dont have all that much hair yet for a ponytail. she has more of a pebble (from the flintstones)hair do. But I take it out every night and redo it most everyday. Once in a while I let her go without it being up. |

This is the debate I have in my head all the time to....sore head from pony tail, or irritation that he can't see?? I've even thought about cutting some 'bangs' & then leaving some for the pony tail, but I don't know how this would look & my luck the back pieces will still fall forward into his eyes. And we thought we had hair dilemas!!:) |

I think given the option, Oscar would much prefer the hair in his eyes, mouth, wherever - anwhere other than in an elastic. I take it out at night and he's just going to sleep anyways, so it doesn't really matter what his hair does. He's gotten into a routine now where when we get into bed he'll come up beside me and put his head down and paw at his ponytail as if to say "it's time mummy, take 'er out!". I then give his little head a massage and he LOVES it - it must feel sooo good. The next morning, the hair goes back up. I used to struggle quite a bit with Oscar trying to get him to sit still while i put his hair up, so I used to keep it in for a couple days at a time - when I started taking it out at night, I found it became easier to put in each day - as if he was ok with it if he knew that it wouldn't be left in for days and he'd get a break. |
I brush out Jazzie's hair daily. I like to switch from a pony tail to braids every few days so it does not irritate her scalp. I heard if the hair is tied too tight a lot, it can cause a bald spot on their heads. |
Great thread! Great thread! I've been struggling with this myself. It's only been recently that Ginger's hair has been long enough that I need to pull it up daily. So, I've been taking it out most nights, but was wondering what everyone else does. Honestly, she doesn't even seem to notice the elastic once its in, so I can't tell if it bothers her. |
Juicy every mornning and off at night!!! |
