how do you wash your vest harness? romeo has a puppia, cloak & dawggie , and handmade by tiger's mom. i currently handwash them. is it safe to toss them in the washer in a lingerie bag???? i don't want to ruin them, but i don't think handwashing gets them as clean.   |
any ideas:confused: |
I'm not sure what is recommended, but I'm sure Deb will hop on here and tell us. So far, I've just handwashed it in warm water with soap and let it air dry. It would probably be safe in a delicates bag, but I wasn't sure and wanted to prolong the life of the harness. |

thanks.:) |
I hand wash all of the silk items I make using non-conditoning shampoo. The shampoo really attacks dirt and grunge. Also, using about a tablespoon of plain white vinegar in the rinse water will help preserve the colors. |
I wash the harness in the washer, but I have a handwash setting. Then I just lay it out to dry. |

It depends on what each one is made of. I machine wash my cotton fabric harness vest and I handwash my silk & satin ones. Im sure you can wash the puppia and cloak & doggie harness vest and I think Tigersmom's vest are made with cotton fabric also so it should be safe to wash that one.:) |

we don't have a dishwasher. :( i still handwash and air dry. they are just too expensive to ruin. plus, my washer is so old it doesn't have a gentle cycle. |
