I look into the revolution, it can be used on small puppies and dogs and is probably the safest way to go. I know my vets recommend this for small dogs or puppies and said it is safe. |
You get them from any garden store that sells organic products. If there isn't one in your area, you can order them, but as I mentioned in my initial post, they must be kept cool upon shipping - so I would call and see how they are shipped. It is possible to ship things and keep them cool - my husband gets his insulin by mail and it comes with a cool pack. Anyway, you can google beneficial nematodes to find places or order them - here is a link - I have no idea is this is a good company??? http://store.arbico-organics.com/ben...nematodes.html I get mine from an organic garden store. They cost about 20.00 for an amount to cover an average sized yard. You MUST follow the directions exactly and you must water your yard (the usual amount to keep grass alive) or they will dry up and die over the summer. In areas with warmer winters, they will live through the winter and you only have to reapply every 2-3 years - but where it is cold in winter, you will have to put them on the yard (by sprayer) every year as they won't live through the winter. I promise they really do work! We never have fleas and we have outdoor dogs on 2 sides of our yard. |
well, I gave her a bath in Dawn dishsoap, and the Fleas are gone! But I am taking her to the groomers today so it won't be that hard to see them if she gets them again. I am also ordering some frontline. check out this website... I think it has some pretty good deals for ped meds and animal products. I order shampoo and dry food through them. Ask for Lizz if you call! She can get you pretty good deals! www.lambriarvetsupply.com Thanks for all your help! |
We use revolution for puppies and kittens under 5lbs since our girl was only 2lbs and it's worked so well. |
I saw this on another site and thought it might help you - 2 lemons, cut into small pieces 1 quart water Place lemon pieces into water, then boil for one hour. Steep overnight. Sponge down your dog or cat. While fleas are repelled by citrus oil, your pet will smell good, and the lemon water will help soothe your pet's flea bites. |
