I know you know your baby and what works for him. Sounds like you have thing under control, and you are right, if he is crate trained and is comfortable there, then that is the best place for him.

:D I don't crate train so that is why I offered the hold in lap alternative. I have sat up many a night with dogs, cats, horses, etc. :D

Have you felt his sweet little tummy to see if he might have any discomfort, like maybe he might be constipated? Could he have gotten a bug bite?

Good luck to you, Cherry, hope all goes well tonight and your little guy gets to feeling better real soon. Isn't it a grand thing that we have YT -- you know that someone will be there 24/7...

When he is laying down you might want to give him something of your clothing or your hubbies that you were wearing, that will help him feel near you. Then again, maybe just to be cuddled by you or hubby is what he might need at this time. If it likes carrots you could chop them up small and give him those, and even some with a bit of cottage cheese, lots of moisture in carrots and the cottage cheese, that might entice him into drinking water for you. Please keep us updated on how he is doing, sounds like something scared him. Hope he is doing ok real soon. Patti and Baby Blessing

I was totally against crate training at first.. but after putting my bed and boxspring on the floor and still many sleepless nights from him wanting to play or bark at whatever he sees in the dark he does best in the crate. I just wish he would drink some water..

And THANK GOD for YT this forum is the reason I signed online tonight :thumbup:

My lilttle girl is afaide of storms and and beeps like a pager or when you check the fire alarms. is there any thing that spooks him that may have happend? I wish I could help. If it thunders out at night Daisy will stand on me and shake and pant till i wake up and i have to hold her till it's over sometime longer. Good luck.

I have him in his crate now.. he seems to be ok he is not making a sound. I am going to let him out in like 1/2 hour see how he is..

It's ok for him to eat cottage cheese? I heard cheese gives them worms :confused: Either way I have none of that since where I live lost power for a few days (thanks to the heatwave) the fridge is empty. But if it's good I will pick some up tomorrow for him :D

you can give him cottage cheese it will not hurt him...could you have a mouse in your house...or something like that...

I would take him back to were you first noticed him being scared, then take him in different rooms and see if he acts the same way, if its just one room then you can start searching to see what it could be, sometimes if I bring in a box or even something that Peanut doesn't know what it is, he gets scared and starts barking or runs out of the room....& I didn't mean anything about the mouse...lol

Yes, Baby Blessing loves the cottage cheese, I usually place a tablespoon full of it and mix it in with her dry food and then chop up carrots too and she loves them. She will eat the cottage cheese all by itself :happyboun hope he is doing better now. Patti

We did that.. crawled on the floor with him as he followed and he was still eyes all over the place. I assume he is sleeping now. I want to peek into the crate but I am being told to relax and give him another 20 minutes.. I want to check on him but I dont want to wake him.. ugh

and its ok.. my mother used to have field mice.. lil teeny ones.. so many times when I was lil she found me standing on a chair waiting for her to come home...:eek: lol
