I got Lady at 7 weeks old too and they need a little more attention than those that come home at 12 weeks.You will need pee pads (although dont expect anything much until after 12 weeks) you will need food and water bowls,a comfy bed,a cuddly toy for the pup to cuddle up to (remember 7 weeks is REALLY young and she will miss her mommy and litters mates) or you can get a snuggle pupy which is perfect,heres the link: http://www.snugglepuppys.com/ ,a hot water bottle to put in her bed (this does wonders!) and some nutrical (VERY important).I am in Europe and cant get nutrical here,so I had to use water and sugar in a seringe which also works if your baby gets lethargic.
As 7 weeks is very young,its best to have your baby near you at night..If you are going to crate her at nights,have the crate on the floor by your bed or somewhere you can just touch her every now and again to let her know you are there.After a while Lady knew I was there and stopped crying at nights,she was very good:)
You will also need a carrier at first because they shouldent really go on walks until their shots are completed,so if you want to take her anywhere at first,a carrier is a good option,unless of course you want to hold her:) She will STILL need a tiny harness though because she will need to be secured inside the carrier to stop her jumping out.

Don't forget to find a good vet who specializes in small breeds and a quality puppy food.

No plastic food or water dishes too as they harbor bacteria.

Nutrical is great for hypoglycemia (sugar levels dropping)

Get good Yorkie books, safe toys, and lots of love and you are on your way.

Keep close contact with the breeder too if you have any questions.

You should get her some toys and the most important food and a harness if your going to train her outsite and maybe some treats! Thas mostly it! :)

Treats and Praise is the only two things i can think of right now and be sure to do both when she potties in the right place and be consistent.

Hi and welcome to Yorkie talk! What is her name? Is she a fairly good size puppy? You must be so excited and this forum will be wonderful for you to learn all ypu can to take care of her and share stories as she grows.

7 weeks is really young. Is she a larger puppy? In addition to the great advice you already got,I would get her a blanket of course, a playpen where she can be when you can't supervise her, the puppy food she is currently accustomed to (the breeder usually will give you a good supply of that), emergency supplies in case of a drop in blood sugar (ask your breeder for a "kit" but it usually includes a jar of baby food, a baggy of dry baby rice cereal, karo syrup, cornstarch and a small syringe).

I also like to feed babies plain, unflavored pedialyte instead of tap or filtered water because of the extra nutrients. It's also good to have some substitute puppy milk like what they give puppies whose mothers cannot feed them from birth. They sell it at the pet food stores. Puppies love it and sometimes if they get stressed in a new environment it's a way to make their food taste better and get them to eat if they are picky eaters.

I think petsmart sells these self warming blanket pads. I believe they warm up from the animals body heat. I think I saw them in the cat section. For being that young you may want to get one. It will be comforting to her too without the body heat of her littermates. I brought Tinkerbell home at 9 weeks and she tended to shiver sometimes especially when she would be napping.
