Ears -- ??? Never thought I'd be posting about my pup's ears.... The were up (like a little coyote) when I got him at 8 weeks. Then like all puppy's, they went up and down for a few months. But - at four months, they were up to stay..... ---------------------------------------------------------------------- HOWEVER -- At 11 month's of age - for some unknown reason - they decided to just flop over..... of course, the hair on his ears is much longer now - so, perhaps this is the problem. He's getting groomed next Saturday, and I'll definitely get a lot of the hair taken off his ears. Has this happened to any of you - after your pup had had erect ears for such a long time?????? That's strange. It is probably due to the weight of the hair on his ears. I was concerned when I purchased Buddy that one ear was erect and the other was slightly limp on one side. It did straighten up about 4months old but never went down after that. I do keep his ears clean all the time. No much hair on them. |
Ears I have read that even adult dogs ears will fall if the weight of the hair gets too much. Guess we just have to be careful to keep them trimmed. |
hey, my pup is almost 3 months old, and his left ear flopped last week, I have no idea why. They were standing straight up, now one is down. Vet said nothing was wrong with it, so you think it will go back up? |
