Need advice
 
:confused: so i just talked to the breeder whom i am getting james from and she said they had to bring him to the vet today because he hasnt been eating. He is supposed to fly next week and im scared....should I still go through with this?? I dont want a sick puppy...she said she would keep me posted on what the vet says.

I'd ask for the vets phone number and talk to him personally about the pup. Play it by ear and don't do it if it doesn't feel right and/or you start to see red flags going up as warnings. However, she may be very caring and very protective. I hope things work out for the both of you and that the pup is a healthy one regardless.:)

I agree with Julz...You should ask the beeder for the vets phone #...But then
again why would she send you a sick puppy if shes being honest to even tell that the pup stop eating so she's going to get him/her check out to fing out why this is happing before she send the puppy...Then again thats just me :p

I agree, the fact that she's being forthright about taking him to the vet is a good sign - she's responsible, and she's being honest with you. Wait to see what the vet says - puppies go through phases of not eating sometimes and he could be perfectly fine.

I'm sure everything is ok, but I would definitely hold off on the flight until he is eating well and is 100% healthy. Make sure she gives him Nutristat before the trip and take it with you to the airport and give him some more as soon as possible.

Thanks for the input I guess Im just getting really nervous. Im really glad that she has shared that info with me instead of sending me a sick pup. I have talked to her several times and she is very honest and lets me know exactly how he is eating regardless of if he ate or not. She has told me several times that she just doesnt want to risk anything with her yorkies witch puts me at ease. I will keep you posted on what the vet finds and Im just hoping its nothing.

Julz is right !! if it dont feel right DONT DO IT :thumbdown !!, & speaking with the vet is a super Idea :p !!

I am soooooo sad!!!! I just talked to the breeder and my baby james didnt make it through today!!!!

I am so sorry. It would have been worse though if he were with you and passed on. Before I got Jewels I was waiting on a female pup that died also. You will find another pup that is healthy.

In a way its a blessing b/c thats less headache but now I have to go through the whole process again!!!! :(

I\'m so sorry this happened to you, but they are right, it would have been much worse if you would have got him and then he passed. Bless his sweet little heart. I\'m sure my Kloey will take great care of James. Your in my thoughts.

I\'m so sorry for your loss this is heartbreaking.:( But at least you didn\'t get him home and then have him die on you. Do you know what he died from like just not eating or mabey a genetic defect? You will find another one don\'t worry i know it\'s hard to think of investing time to search again but mabey he just wasn\'t the right pup. Good Luck again i\'m sorry for your loss.

:rbyorkie: I\'m so sorry to heard that about James. I know its such a hard process to go though finding a pup and then waiting and getting excited. Give yourself a bit of time and I know that you\'ll find another baby to love!
