Help Information ?? Scam or Not I am planning on purchasing a yorkie ..I found one out of state I have to pay first ..Now my question is ..He wants me to send monies This is what he told me ... through Express Pets Delivery on next day delivery. Go ahead and make the payment to the shipping agent with the information I gave to you through Western union . Does this sound like a scam or does it usually work this way.???. |

i think there are ways of doing it to where u can send them some kind of payment but they cant cash it until u have the dog and u are satisfied with it.. i cant remember what its called though im sure someone here will know.. but definately dont ever send money first.. |
Thank You Thank You ..My husband email him and is going to tell him to send the puppies and then upon arrival we will pay him for the puppy...That way it would be safe:) |
Yes and I've heard that if they expect payment before you have the actual pet in your hands then they're not legit. I'd stay far away because it sounds like it could get messy if he decides not to coperate. Best of Luck. |

It sounds like a scam to me. I didn't realize there were so many puppy scams until I answered an online ad. The woman told me she was a missionary in Africa and that the climate was not good for her puppy. She was offering the pup for free, but the shipping was where she would've got me. I reported her and I continue to report every one I see because that's the only way to try to put a stop to them. |
I was not really worried about a breeder ripping me off..Most breeders have positive feed back and references .. That is why I joined Yorkietalk:) He was not a breeder and his deal was to good to be true . ..That is why I posted this discussion ....Which I knew it sounded fishy it is just hard when you get your hopes up... I have been doing some research and for a 4lb to 5lb yorkie is going to run me $800.00 for pet quality .. As we all know you get what you pay for ..So I will need to save up some more money ... |
If it sounds fishy, it probably is. Someone with a shipping agent is a big red flag for me. The breeder I am working with got taken a few times. She now only accepts cashiers checks, money orders or cash. She wanted payment in full by the time my baby is 8 weeks old. I did not really feel comfortable with that. I had already given her a good deposit. I told her I was not comfortable and she said it was fine if I paid the balance due when I pick up Gracie and sign the contract at that time. I figure if I am going to get taken, it will be for my deposit and not the full amount. This way, the final payment is under my control. If I don't like what I see, if Gracie looks sick or the puppies don't look well cared for, I can walk away. I guess I'm just not very trusting. |
