Registration question?????? What do you do if you register your yorkie at say 7months or even a year and by two years old their coat is a different color?? Because since yorkies can change colors until they are two, how do you go about registering them? Can you register them as one color now and at two years old change the color?? Scampers is black and gold now at 7 months but his hair is still changing colors and I have a feeling he is going to turn gold and blue. On his papers he is put down for black and gold but what if next year his coat changes to blue and gold?? |
The breeder filled out the color/marking info... I don't know if it can be changed or not. I'm not too worried about it. Neither one of my kids is going to be bred (they're both fixed), so I don't think the papers really matter. |

I actually had this same question so i called the AKC and they told mr to put down the color they are now and in the future (IF YOU WANT) you can pay $15.00 to change the color so it doesn't really matter just put the color they are now and you'll be good! |
My breeder said she uses the coat color of the parents. |
