Why Does She Act Like This?
 
Angel loves to take her toys to her bed, but when we close the entrance of her pen so she can't get in, she'll keep circling the pen trying to find a way in. She'll whine the whole time while the toy is in her mouth. When we're in the kitchen w/ the doors closed and we throw her toy for her to chase, she'll do the same thing. She'll have her toy in her mouth and whine at the door cuz she can't get out to go to her bed. Once the door is open, she'll run to her bed, drop her toy there and sometimes she'll come out or she'll stay there. It's kind of funny. Do you know why she acts like this?

Also, after she pees on her pad, we praise her when we see her and she'll go back to the spot and sniff it. We always try to distract her from sniffing it. Do most dogs sniff their pee after going? :eek:

Because yorkies like to burrow and I'm sure she feels that is her "pad"!:D

Almost all dogs will go back and sniff their leavings.:D

Oscar ALWAYS takes a sniff before walking away from his peepad... just to make sure it's his I guess (lol).

He also loves to 'collect' his toys and treats in his bed(s) around the apartment - just keeping them safe.. and tidy for mummy....:)

I think is is great that she loves her crate so much. Buddy would never
go back in it after I let him out! He would not sleep in a bed either when
I took the crate away when he became a big boy. He will only sleep where
I am. Couch, Chair, floor, bed. He dosen't even lay down when I am working
around the house. He is always "THERE". One day I am going to break a hip
tripping over him. Enjoy you freedom! LOL:aimeeyork

Now, I can relate to tripping over mine, too.:D

Angel walks away from her pad first, and then she'll go back to sniff the spot. I think she may be wondering what all the fuss is about when we're praising her and then she goes back to sniff it. haha
