Helpful ????? Mia on her first couple days was eating great. The breeder had her on Science Diet and ceaser but I dont like science diet so i have been mixing the dry foods together and putting some ceaser with it. Now all she'll eat is the Ceaser..:( shell take a nibble of the dry every now than. Any HELPFUL suggestions she has gotten sick but The vet said it could be just nerves and such or low blood sugar so she told me to feed her small amounts 4-6 times a day and i have been. She only gets sick when she hasnt eaten anything for a bit but her water intake is horrible. I never see her drink! :( any suggestions there? |
I'm guessing here, but it could be that if she is eating more of the canned food, there is enough water in the canned that she isn't thirsty? If the vet thinks it might be low blood sugar, you might want to consider using NutriCal a few times a day. I would continue trying the dry foods in the hope that she might eventually start eating it again. Perhaps try some other brands (if you can get samples). If you are unhappy with her eating just the Ceasar, perhaps try some boiled chicken and rice and cook for her. Hope this helps. I have a picky eater, too. |

I'm a worry wart, too!! If she eats the Ceasars okay, but you're unsure of the nutrients, maybe look into some of the premium canned brands, like Merricks or Natural Balance. I know that it is better for the health of their teeth to have dry kibble regularly, but if they won't eat it - what are you going to do? |
I am happy to see say she ate some dry kibble and drank some water. woohoo. i took a tiny bit and i mean a tiny bit of ceasr and put it in her dry food and mixed it to where it has like a thin coating on the outside of the dry and she ate it! woohoo:D :D |
Great. Maybe she'll start eating the dry food again. Wish I could get there! |
