Storing food for later
 
Last night I was playing w/ Rocky, and he goes into his crate and then walks out w/ a sunchip in his mouth :p It's been a few days since he had sunchips, so I'm guessing when I gave him one he put it in his crate to store for later. It was soo cute and funny! :lol tears

Does anyone elses dog do this?

guess he hid it. Kizzy hides things all time. But most of the time she just thinks it hidden. I get so tickled at her, she will lay it down and take her face like she is covering it up or something. lol........ too funny hiding chips.

That's what my boyfriend and I concluded, he's too smart!!!! I know yorkies are supposed to be real smart, but this really impressed me.

That is so funny because my Mini Dachshund (not the one I have now, but a previous one) used to "store" food. She was a little different though, LOL. She would eat and then even after she was done she would "save" some for later :p She'd come walking up to us with her cheeks just as puffy as ever! Looked like a little chipmunk! lol :D And no mam...she wouldn't just store the food on ONE side of her mouth...she would store it on BOTH! lol. I guess she was lazy and just decided one day that instead of having to GET UP for dinner, she'd just save some of her lunch and just start chewing whenever she got hungry later on during the day :rolleyes: What a TURD! :p

LOL yes, it was hilarious! :D We would crack up every single time she did this (which was ALOT!) lol. :p This was a Doxie that I had several years ago, and at the time I didn't have a digital camera, and I DO have pictures of her doing this, but OF COURSE my scanner just broke last week! :mad: It's SUCH a funny thing to see...and I wish the Mini Doxie I have now did it, because I'd DEFININTELY be takin' some pics to show you all! lol. It is too, too funny!! :p

By the way...the story about your baby and the sunchips is so hilarious! lol...I cracked up as soon as I read it! How precious is THAT lol!!! :D

Cali always hides her bones. At any given time she has at least 2 or 3 hidden. If Maya accidentily happens near where she has them hidden she will go get it and move it. She hides them behind doors, in my dtrs bed in my husband's den. Funny thing is she knows exactly where she left them. Now Maya eats hers as fast as she can and never saves for later. I think it is so cute the way they hide things.

Hahahaha I could just picture that happening. Maya reminds me of what Gizmo did when I gave him one of Rocky's dingo bones..he gulped it down ASAP, swallowed it whole! While Rocky took his sweet time eating it.
