Does your yorkie do a potty dance??
 

I just find it interesting that all my dogs have sort of a potty dance and each dog has a different one.

When I take Trixie outside to go to the bathroom, I can always tell when she is getting ready to poop, she will pace back and forth about 50 times, first in big circles, then small circles and back to big circles and finally once again back to small circles in the same area until she thinks she has found the right spot.

Scampers does things differently. When he is ready to go, he will get in postion and then while still in that postion will turn his butt around and around and will keep going in circles even while he is pooping!! It is the funniest thing to watch and he does it every single time.

Daisy, my mom's border collie will do even more of a dance. She will get ready to squat, she will be so close to the ground that you think she is ready to go but then she picks up her left leg and then her right leg and then will stand and do it all over again several several times. It lookes like a two step dance!!

Peppi, my cocker does not do a dance when she goes but does a dance to let me know she has to go. She will run to the door and then run back to me and then will turn in circles and then get up on two feet and will prance around, it really is a potty dance!!

So, do your yorkies do a potty dance either before or during the time they are going potty?

My boxer does the funniest dance when she wants me to let her go outside. She will shake shake shake her booty and usually has a toy in her mouth and she snorts with excitement while looking at the back door. SO funny! lol.

BUt my favorite is chloe. She circles a million times before she poop. Its so funny, and I have no idea why dogs do that? :D

Well i think peeka has ocd(obsessive compolsive disorder) because not only does he pace back and forth 50 times to find a place to poop but he has to turn around in a circle 3 times exact always 3 times then he poops! he cracks me up and if he gets distracted like if someone is watching him or someone runs by he has to stop and wait then start all over again he is so weird! LOL:D

romeo does the dance. it's very funny. he does circles and a celebration squat. he also lifts his back legs when he poo poos. he's a 2 legged pooper.:eyetearss he truly enjoys his poop.

:sidesplt: A celebration squat, 2 legged pooper...that is so funny! Lol, do you have a video? Ziggy does the pace and circle thing to poop. When he pees he sticks his head under there and watches it come out. :p

Maddie turns in 100 circles before she poops and if she has to pee she will walk back and forth 3-4 times before she squats.

Lol, he has done that since the day we brought him home...I can't imagine why he's so fascinated with watching it.:confused:

Sissy definitely has a different move when she needs to poop. She runs around like she is hyper or something. If she happens to pee first, she'll head toward the door like she is done, and as soon as I move toward to the door to let her in, she'll speed away back to the yard. She always jumps up and bites at me when we're inside and she needs to poop!!

Yes!!!!!!!! It is too funny she does her circle and sniff dance and when she's done doing the business she looks at me beaming like aren't you proud. lol They are too cute.

Oh I am so glad someone else has a yorkie that does this too. Murphy does the same thing. He circles than finds his spot and lifts his back legs up balancing on only the front two while pooping. Talk about a multi-tasker.:)

Yes! She does do it and she did it twice in the house this morning:eek: :mad:
