Puppy Teeth Firstly thanks to all who replied about my concerns regarding my puppys teeth. I was really panicking that there was something wrong.By the way he is 7 months old. I have him insured, but is it expensive? Can i just ask, should his ears be erect by now. It probably sounds bad but i dont really know too much about this breed. My last dog died last year and he was a English bull terrier.I will post a picture of my my new little boy when i get a grip of how to work my way around this site. |
Gus had one tooth pulled but he was already being put under to be neutered so the tooth only cost about $10-$15. Seven months is still young. Some of the teeth might fall out on their own. Also, you can try playing tug of war with him. That helps loosen them up. I liked the floppy ears on my first yorkie and my second his ears were already up when I got him so I don't know much about it but I think at seven months there is a good chance they are going to stay down. I'm not sure if it's too late to start taping them, massaging them, etc. Maybe someone who knows more about it will see this and answer. Either way I bet he's adorable. Welcome to YT!! |
Oliver just turned one and he still has several baby teeth. He lost one yesterday and a few two weeks ago. I am going to weight another 3 months or so to give them a chance to fall out. Then we will have them pulled. It is ok if at seven months he still has baby teeth. |
Duke had his teeth extracted a couple months ago. He had 8 baby teeth removed and it cost £110.I would wait until he is about 14 months and if he has still retained his baby teeth, book the op. Im not sure which insurance company you are with, but many policies do not cover the cost of teeth extraction. I think it will probably be too late to train your puppy's ears to stand. I tried 1 of my girls Duchess at 7 months and it didn't work. Never mind they look so cute floppy :) |
Frustrated Yorkie I just realized my 9 month old yorkie always scratch her ears or her head when frustated. First i thought she had fleas or mites but it turns out that she only does it when frustrated. Does any body yorkies' do that? |
Bo is 6 months and he has lost sevral of his teeth...i have 4 of them saved |
