I am debating on whether to have him neutered or not since they are good for bringing color back into a line. I didn't buy him on a spay / neuter contract.

Do you think anyone be interested in using him for a stud? He is currently only 6 months old and weighs 4 lbs. He is suppose to weigh about 4.5 lbs full grown. I kind of want to get him neutered but I'm afraid I will regret it if I find out someone would have liked to use him as a stud when he is a little older. It would have to be someone local though as I won't send him anywhere.

He is beautiful. I love the Red Legged Yorkies. Their colors are just
so bright and shinny. I would not hesitate to purchase one. I have
seen so many washed out colors in some Yorkies that these colors
are just magnificent. I think Buddy has some in him. He is a pretty
copper color and when the sun shines on him his coat sparkles.
Can't wait to see the litter from Hannah. I bet they will be beautiful.

Thank you!! I usually keep my yorkies in a puppy cut anyway but I was a little dissapointed when I first found out he was a red leg. I love him anyway and am anxious to see what his colors look like when he is older. I'm enjoying him so much. He is such a fiesty little devil. Definitely not a snuggler.

Nancy your girl doesnt look like a red leg to me...the hair would be a bit course, whispy and hard to grow any length...

yes the breeding took she is due any time now...we are expecting 3, thanks for asking!!

I wondered if she could be on not because her hair isn't coarse, it's very silky. Her leg hair isn't that short or dark red either. But the thing that makes me wonder is she doesn't have much hair on the end of her snout. She was 10 mos. when I got her so I don't k now if they had her cut that way or if it grows that way. I kind of think it is the way it grows. Do you think it will ever be long there?

This is off the redleg topic, but I'm interested in thoughts on this as well! I'm pretty much in the same situation with Mazie. When I got her at nine months, the previous owner told me she had never had her hair cut, other than her "bangs". But while she has a nice silky length everywhere else, right on her snout and chin it is short.

I was wondering the same about whether it would ever grow out!
