Got a question ok guys please don't think i'm weird, but our "mutt" just got neutered tuesday and when i went home for lunch i "checked" him out to make sure he hasn't messed with the stitches or anything like that. now keep in mind i don't know anything about male dogs. anyways i noticed on each side at the base of his penis there are 2 "knot or ball" looking things. one was a little bit bigger than the other and they weren't red or warm to the touch nor did it seem to hurt him. the skin aroud it did feel a little tight. when i "checked" him yesterday i didn't notice that but i'm quilty of not always paying close attention. is this normal, what is it??? b/c if something is wrong i'm out the door and on the way to the vet, work can wait. please tell me i'm just paranoid. |
I wish I could help, but I only have 2 male cats, my dogs are girls. |
neutering That is the place where the penis swells during a "tie",breeding ..it will take a bit of time to recover from the neutering and not swell up from time to time..he will forgot what it is for..hopefully! LOL I know there is a medical name for it.but I am lousy at that stuff.. |
