Know this Breeder? This is a very good Yorkie site that I found just surfing the net, she seems to really care for the well being of the Yorkies. I rarely see breeders site like this, it's really well done and pretty, pretty Yorkies!!! http://www.northern-lites.com/ |
Peggy is a very responsible breeder . I met her at several dogshows and it is always a pleasure to talk to her . We have Yorkies from the same lines . |
I wished I lived in the States, I would definitely want to get a pup from her.  |
She is a real class act!!! I was looking for my second yorkie and I contacted her for a puppy. She interviewed me and agreed to let me buy her. When I told her I had a 3.5 pound girl at home and it was important for me to have another one in that size range she told me the puppy she had would probably be in the 5.5 to 6.5 range. That particular puppy was just going to be closer to the standard. She was honest, forthright and very easy to talk to. Her prices are more than fair. You cannot go wrong with Northern Lites |
Yorkies make wonderful family pets but caution is a must when owning a yorkie puppy or adult especially around children. The Yorkshire Terrier can live up to 15 years with the proper care. If you are interested in a teacup yorkie or miniature yorkie I would not suggest owning one under three pounds. My vet states that yorkies of this size have more health problems in life. This is kinda odd I think when everyone here says there is no such thing as a teacup or mini. I see she does say above it that there is no such thing. I missed it. |
Hi First of all I want to thank you all for the kind words in regards to my site and my yorkies. In regards to the comment below which is stated as a education comment, this comment was stated to point out that dogs under three pounds can and do have major health problems. My site is to educate people. In order to educate, I use the common terminology that many people use when doing a search on the internet about yorkies. So many people believe that there are teacup and miniature yorkies and they do type these words in the search engines all of the time. I can educate and educate them but it does not stop them from thinking that there are yorkies of this type. If one reads my info on my puppy page which I have stated below or you can visit my site to read more at.... http://www.northern-lites.com/Puppies/Puppies.htm I do include this statement explaining that there is no such classification pertaining to the yorkshire terrier breed. At times we have smaller yorkies, some people call them teacup yorkies or miniature yorkies. These types of yorkies are yorkies that are too small for showing or breeding. People think there are teacup yorkies or miniature yorkies but in reality these types of yorkies are just small yorkies. I hope I have cleared up any concerns about using the terms teacup or miniature yorkies.... if you have any questions please ask... Northern Lites http://www.northern-lites.com |

Didn't Know I didn't know you used this Forum Peg, you may want to take a look at a couple other threads. I don't use this Forum, usually, but it may be to my best interest, maybe yours too, to keep a eye on things. See ya at a show soon, Cynthia Rhapsody Yorkshire Terriers http://www.yorkie.org |
Why do I suddenly feel like I am 5 years old? |

Nice to see you. Cynthia |
Most of the members here are such nice people..and there have been some really bad threads in the past with lots of fighting, bashing, banning..and even a lawsuit..I think we are just tyring to have a bit of fun..you are welcome to join in the fun part. |
How sweet of you Pat. |

<raises hand> Not going! We'll be doing Atlanta that weekend. Under hubbies orders to stay close to home as I have a "litter of one" bouncing baby boy on the way...so no airplanes for me. Atlanta should be nice, now lets hope there's someone OTHER than me there, since everyone else will be in PA :) Good luck to everyone in PA! Quote:

That's okay, don't mind surprises. :) We're just doing some small stuff for now til that last pesky inch of coat gets to the ground, then I guess I'll have to send him out, as I won't do much good owner/handling if I can't get back up off the floor..lol Thanks for the congrats. |
Hope the weather cools down for you guys while in PA. Yep, I will be in Atlanta too. Hope to see ya there, Becki! :D T. |
GREAT! Will look forward to meeting you! I'll be the one waddling around the ring with a basketball under my clothes..lol Quote:

Now I remember talking to you in a past post, Becki! LOL I can't wait to meet you. Which class did you enter in? Open Bitches for me this time. She will just be 18 months and 2 weeks, so we will see how it goes. Please Cythnia and Peggy - fill us in on the National Specialities when you return and Good luck too!:D T. |
I have an open dog, and may bring a puppy bitch if I can get her to walk on the lead versus lay on her back in "give me a belly rub" position. LOL So far, not much luck on that, so not pushing her. I have a new 12 month old bitch I may try instead...we'll see. |
Is it Beaux your entering? He is a looker! Good Luck! I have a younger female too, but won't be older enough for Atlanta, she will only be five months then- So have to wait. She is a cutie though and just a jumper on lead as of yet. LOL We have handling classes signed up for in August too. Wow, what a busy month. :) |
Yes Beaux is the only dog I have in the ring right now. Thanks for the compliment, he is a sweet as he is handsome. :) The puppy bitch is his half sister, but doesn't have his "go getter" attitude as of yet. Good luck to you as well! Are you not showing your LBV male? Wonder if there will be a match at this show.. do you know? |
No, but my all breed club has a match cumming up in Oct. in Cumming GA (about 45 min. north of Atlanta). My dog club is sponcering the Atlanta show you are attending though. I am waiting a few more months on my LBV male for floor length hair. It is almost there, just shy a tiny bit, but he is gorgous though! Great bones and loves the ring! He can show pose himself (self stacks). I love it - don't have to bend down! Are you doing Perry show too? |
No plans to do Perry, doing 2 other shows and have pups due in Sept..so will be stretched pretty thin as it is. May look into your all breed match, I have some pups that could use some practice...that's only about 2 hours from me. Well good luck with your boy when you get him out..sounds like he's a lot of fun. |
