Grizzly Salmon oil is a liquid you pump onto their food. Missing Link is a powder you sprinkle on (and need to keep in the fridge once opened - the powder, not the food ;) ). We used Missing Link for about a year and I don't think we saw much of a difference. Then we used the oil for about the same amount of time and I think Tatum's hair improved. Recently I went back to Missing Link just to see if it did anything more than what I was seeing with the oil and I think her hair "quality" went down. The reason we use it is just really to help improve Tatum's hair strength and texture. Her hair's fine, really, but she plays really rough with her outdoor sister (Aust. Shepherd) and we've noticed since we got Stormie that we can't keep a topknot in on a daily basis because the hair at the base of it gets broken from the playing. I'm just trying to strengthen it up and get more shine. She's not itchy or anything so I can't respond to what either of those will do if you have that problem.
Of course, all dogs will react differently to either product but the oil seems to be best for Tatum. |
