Misquitos thrive in hot weather. Do you think he got bitten?? :( You are such a good yorkie mama! I know Brownie really appreciates you taking care of him last night ;) I would have done the same thing :p |
Do dogs get a heat rash? Maybe that is what made im so itchy. Hope you get your AC fixed. |

Sorry the both of you had such a bad night. Yes, it was really muggy here in Rockland also last night. Poor Brownie, nice thinking putting him in the bath to cool him off. Hope your A/C gets going today. Have a good night sleep tonight. |

poor baby,i hope he feels better today...tell that a/c guyto hurryup.. |
I was thinking it may have been heat rash too. That can be really itchy. Has it gone away since the baths? Has he stopped itching? I know your air is broken, but how about a fan? Keep it out of reach of course, but it can help on those really hot nights. :) |
That was a good move, cooling him off in the bath. Have you given him a summer haircut? My dogs appreciate the shorter hair in the heat - they definitely seem more comfortable. As far as the hot body temp and the itching, I'd give the vet a call and just ask what they think. It's always good to know in case it happens again.:) Hope your a/c is fixed REAL soon! |
I think it could've been a heat rash too! Brownie is so lucky to have a loving mommy. :) |
I wonder if what he has is hot spots.Cathy and Yoshi:confused: |
Do you think the vet might say its ok to give benedryl to reliave itching or inflammation?Cathy and Yoshi:aimeeyork |
All the heat could of just dried out his skin. just plain dry skin would make me itch too. Glad to hear hes doing ok. Too bad your not here my buddy would of fixed your air at 2 with no after hrs charge. i make him do stuff like that sometimes. hes a good friend. hope you can keep your baby cool. so you both can get some sleep.. |
