runaway dogs.... so glad you were able to catch her! windsor got out of the yard today, i looked and called for him and when he didn't come my son and i went out to the street. a lady had stopped her car and was picking him up from the middle of the road......... i didn't know if he'd been hit or if he was frightened because he didn't know her. thank god he was ok, i ran over to them and she said he was alright, she has a yorkie too and was worried about him getting hit. all i could do was tell her thank you, i was crying and so scared. i didn't fuss at him, just loved on him but i think it scared him too, because he kinda cowered and kept his ears down for awhile after we came in the house. |
Oh how scary, the little Hudini. They are so quick. I have found that if I just sit down, mine will come. As long as I chase, they keep going. |
I found that when mine starts to run away, I just ask her if she wants a treat and usually she comes running like crazy. I have started keeping a little canister of treats by the door and if she won't come, I shake the canister, ask her if she wants a treat and she comes tearing into the house. It works for now till I get her trained better! omega |
theo runs out the door my new Theo wonts to run past you and out the door and down the sidewalk, i need a way to train him not to do this, where can we get the know how to to solve this problem? |
K.C. hes a runner too. Hes really quick about running out the door. I have to chase him down the street many times. Even brusted my knee falling down on a raining day. I have to watch him carefully everytime somone open the front door. He also likes to run to the neighbor's yard and pee on their flower beds. I'm affraid he might get hit by a car one day. what worst is, our cross the street neighbor have pitbull in their backyard. |
