short legged yorkie I am now desperate for a second yorkie, and I have heard of a short legged yorkie this is the description of course it means nothing to me, can anyone explain it in english . Also I am hoping that this yorkie will get on with Jack my yorkie who is 5lbs he is a bit bigger than a mini. Yorkshire Terrier male tea cup - - This cute male Yorkie has an 8-Champion bloodline in the sires' 4-generation pedigree and 1-Champion bloodline in the dams' 4-generation pedigree. He was vet checked and was found to have tight patella, good bite, no open font, and has had no surgeries or repairs of any kind. would make a wonderful pet for a good home. He has had all his shots and wormers. He is the shorter legged Yorkie which stands 3-1/2" from the floor to the top of his front shoulder |
hi :D theres no such thing as a short legged yorkie theres no such thing as a mini or a teacup there al just yorkies good luck on your search |
1 Attachment(s) I think it just means that it has short legs, versus long legs. Here is a pic of what I think a "shorter legged" yorkie looks like. |
Most yorkies had short legs and square, cobby bodies going way back. Around the 90’s, some breeders began breeding for longer legs in order to have a longer floor-length coat. My yorkie has legs somewhere in between, but my first had the short legs and cobby body I prefer as a more “pure” look, in the sense of how they looked originally. It makes them appear even cuter, in my opinion ... however, in this day and age, it’s more about a healthy dog with the longest life span. My first yorkie lived to be 17 1/2; that’s what matters most to me. |
