Meet Ekko Jamie from FluffyButts again. I posted a quick video of this girl awhile back but made a new one tonight. Please check her out. She is a puppymill breeder dog like her sister Sweet Polly Purebred which I posted a video of recently. She is missing an eye and has some sort of terrible ear infection that is being treated. She is very sweet, but of course, very scared. Really adorable though, but hey, I think they are ALL adorable! She is a survivor and has a horrible, very tough life to be sure. Please check her out and while you are at it check out Spaulding and Briggs...oh heck people, just look at ALL of these fantastic dogs in need of a great home! Thanks in advance averyone! http://web.mac.com/jamies3/iWeb/Home...o%20Video.html |
I ALways watch every video you post and Ekko looks like an absolute ANGEL and how she could have been treated the way she was is just heartbreaking.... Bless YOU for helping them and thanks so much for introducing us to these special yorkies...I love every one of them and just wish I could fly them ALL to houston :( ALL the best to Ekko and I hope she finds the BEST home and has a very happy life ahead of her - she sure deserves it...they all do |

Glad you always watch the videos. Thanks! I think most people don't have any idea about puppymills. I didn't until recently. And if they do know the word "puppymill" they don't really comprehend what that consists of. Dog breeding is "animal agriculture" in some states- meaning they can be treated like livestock. As long as they have food and water anything goes. I am sure you have seen the pictures of mills and have heard stories. It's really more horrific than one can imagine, until you see one of these dogs straight from the mill. Don't want to rant here- just trying in some small way to educate people. It would be nice to have a link on the Yorkie Rescue Links page from this site to fluffybutts.com. That's a start. Thanks again, Jamie |
She's so precious! I feel so bad for her, the missing eye broke my heart :( |

Yes, she is precious, but they all are to me. She has a great spirit though. My puppymill dog Max isn't missing an eye, but it's blind, turned blue and all misshappen (his magic 8-ball eye I call it). He has no teeth whatsoever and has been "de-barked". However he is a happy little guy now that he was rescued and shown love. If you want to read more about "de-barking" and see a short video of Max and what he sonds like now you can click on the link below. http://web.mac.com/jamies3/iWeb/Pupp...Debarking.html |
Those EVIL people who debark these poor dogs voices are going to a special place one day. I hope ALL the people who are in the Puppymill business go there - they should have lots of company:mad: How can they even sleep at night I wonder knowing that hundreds of dogs are lonely scared and abused at THEIR HANDS ? and PLEASE RANT Away - I do my share - The whole Puppy Mill business is just sickening and our laws need some serious adjusting. Dogs are susposed to be MANS BEST FRIEND.....yet 'MAN' in some cases is a dogs worst enemy. |
I just watched Max - WHAT A DOLL !! and bless his heart - debarking him was beyond cruel IF anyone needs to know what Debarking is in Puppy Mills - I just copied this from fluffybutts video link - this is TRUE and just sickening !! Quote:

Aw that is so sad that he was debarked. I dont understand how anyone can do that to a poor innocent dog. |

Here is a start: educte people about puppymills. Never buy a dog from a pet store, or as far as I am concerned from any "breeder". Sure, there are reputable breeders, but when thousands of homeless dogs are euthanized daily do we really need to be making more??? For evey dog that is bought from a breeder a homeless dog could fill its place. Spay and nuter every dog..etc. etc. Sorry, but the majority of people just don't ever come in contact with the dark side of this. |

   We have LOTS of threads here about NOT buying from Pet Stores - unfortunately many find out after the fact... but I agree - the more it's discussed the more people will know...and it can't be repeated too often. For every ONE person we tell - they may tell 2 friends.... who tell 2 friends.... Thank you for all you do - I don't know HOW you do it though....it must be happy and terribly sad at the same time. The rescue stories are just heartbreaking |

I agree. I don't understand it either. The way they are kept is bad enough, but to hold a dogs head and shove a pipe down it's throat and hit it with a hammer is unthinkable. Welcome to the mentality of a puppymill breeder. It will keep those 2-4 hundred dogs nice and quite! Thanks for your post, Jamie |

Yes, you are right, it is often too late. Honestly, what you should have on this site is a BIG graphic and link right at the top to a page about puppymills and pet store dogs. One has to really seek it out here to get real information. Just an idea. |
Ekko and Max are so adorable. I can't believe that people can't mistreat this little angels. I can't believe that someone can debark an animal. That is so sad and cruel. I hate puppymills, . missingdigits, I commend you for what you do for this little angels. |

Also, just for fun, I posted a real quick video (not good but done fast) of Max's one "one year since I got him" birthday bash. We had an ice cream cake made for him and grilled a fillet mignon s well. He also had a visit to the lake and got some new fishing gear. Yeah he is spoiled rotton! Check out his video here: http://web.mac.com/jamies3/iWeb/Max/...rthday%21.html |
