Licking Paint Off Wall - Help Please! About 6 months ago, my precious female 2 year old Yorkie "Josey" while laying on the back of the couch, would lick the wall. When I spotted her doing this, she had licked the paint off the wall (a small circle) down to the sheet rock. I then noticed 2 more spots. Is she missing something in her diet (been on Science Diet her whole life)? Have you heard of this before? Any help/comments appreciated. |
My Rocky does that too My Rocky actually bites the corners and knaws away till the wood from the frame is exposed. I always try and put vinegar so he wont bite it but he always does it. He's going to be 4 months old i think it's because he's teething but he has like 5 different toys 3 being chew toys. I always know when he's chewing because i always see white in his poop. |
Thank you so much for the reply. I can understanding the teething, but Josey is 2 years old. And like you, she had lots of toys, so I can't imagine what the paint attraction is. But now I know there is another one out there who likes paint! I just knew she was the only one! Thanks again! |
The pup definitely needs more chew toys. Also, vinegar works goods, but they also sell sour apple spray in most pet stores that you can use. Most generally hate the taste, so it keeps them from licking or biting where you spray it. Good luck. Let us know how you make out. |
try putting clear deoderant on the wall |
3 of the 5 dogs I have had have chewed holes in the wall and chewed the corners. Most of them did it when they were 9-12 months old. I have no idea why, they had plenty of toys and chew things and were done teething. |
the deodorant trick worked for mine. |
What kind did you use i am so scared to put use it, how about if he get's sick from it or throws up or somehting ? |
