Tia cries and cries when we come home. Even when we have been out a brief period. Bailey gets real excited, tail wagging, lots of kisses, but Tia (12 weeks) just cries. She will run to me and I usually pick her up and cuddle her, but she still cries for another 10-15 minutes. It breaks my heart. Anyone else out there get that type of a reception coming home |
Sorry i cant be much help... i've never heard of it but im sure someone else has had the same experience as you. when i get home my gracie is like your bailey she is all excited and happy to see me hopefully someone else on here can help you with this ! good luck!:animal-pa |
Maybe it's just her way of saying she misses you. I wouldn't encourage it by giving it too much attention. Reassure her and then go about you business. The more attention she gets the longer she'll cry. JMO. |
hmmmm... I have not had that type of problem with mine... do u leave the tv on or maybe leave them with a really time consuming treat to take their mind off of you leaving and arriving? Whenever I give mine flossies..shoot mommy does not exist.... lol |
That must be upsetting! Does she like to play? Try playing with her or running around the garden with them both-distract her from crying.Don't make a fuss when she does, but try to get her occupied doing something else. Does she only do this to you or to others too? |
It is her way to tell you that she missed you . One of mine was doing the same thing . Now , she is a little better . |

if the behavior is annoying or it bothers you then i would start ignoring her when you come home. let her cry and cry, and then when she finally finishes and is quiet, go over and say hello. don't make coming and goings a big deal. when you are leaving just say a calm good bye girls, see you later and walk out. When you come home, don't greet them first. do go something else, like walk in the other room adn check your mail or get something to drink, whatever, and once they've both calmed down you can go in a greet them. Tia will learn that she has to be quiet and calm when you get home so she can greet you sooner. |
