I don't mean to beat a dead horse since it sounds like this has been settled but I completely agree that Kizzy doesn't have a cotton coat. I have 1 cotton coat and 2 silky coats and the cotton coat mats like crazy if not brushed daily- I mean BAD! Also my silk coats tend to be the ones who look scraggly or stringy, the cotton coat always looks fluffy and like YorkieRose said, like a teddy bear. The cotton coat also grows much, much faster. Kizzy's coat looks on the thick side and I bet once it comes in it will be beautiful!

My Sadie is 2 1/2 years old...she is gold and black. I guess I would say she is silky. Her coat is not long and flowing....like Villettes 2 beauties. But, I can go 2 weeks without brushing her and I never find knots of matts. This I like! I can brush her everyday and her coat still will look straggly. But I still love her....even if she didn't have hair! lol

Kizzys mom i have a 6 month old male and he is the same way he NEVER mats but i can wash his hair and brush him and no matter how much conditioner i use he is straggly in 30mins....but he feels silky to me i am wanting to get a pic of him on here soon so everyone else can see him....his eyes are redish gold when in the light so they say cotton but i dont think he iwll be cotton he is to silky feeling i think....i will try to get his pics soon so everyone can give me some input also because i worry about his hair being so straggly also i dont understand why i can brush it every hour and it is still the same 30mins later....this is a good topic

kizzys eyes usually show up green or yellow or blue. never have had them show up red in pics. Dont know if this has anything to do with it but some say it does. I understand how aggravating it is tho to give them a bath and brush them only to have them look the same way and hour or less later. but nope, shes never had a mat in her hair. so I just have to wait and see how she turns out which I think most everyone has to do that, since nobody can seem to say for sure. Thanks for your post and I'll be looking for your puppy.

maybe it is yellow i am seeing and not gold...i really dont know how to tell to be honest thats why i was wanting to post a pic so everyone else can see what they think also....but no matter what he is i still love him i just think it is neat going through the puppy stage where you dont know but still you love them sooooo much lol
