Please Read Regarding New Threads! Hello Yorkietalkers :) I know that we as a site have gotten to be pretty big (that's an understatement I think) and with that said can we all please try to start our new threads in the correct sections (i.e. Grooming, Training, Off Topic, etc.) We have a lot of new members too so perhaps this will be a good time to remind everyone that we have more sections than just general discussion! And yes, I know what everyone is thinking: More people read general discussion :) While that may be true at the moment let's all make an active effort to peruse other sections too. I challenge you to look at 2 sections that perhaps you just skim over or ignore. Up for that challenge? I'm guilty too so I will participate as well :) Have a good day! Kimberly~ :wavey: :wavey: :wavey: |
Great reminder |
I don't know if I can do this.   NOT ! :D :D :D :D :D :D The other sections are GREAT ! I also encourage everyone to check them out - there is the Nursery - CUTE pics there - OFF TOPIC - fun stuff .....and the ever popular MY YORKIE SECION for pictures only - There is a section for everything here - I love visiting GROOMNG and also PRODUCTS FOR SALE Section - to keep up with shopping too |
I always like clicking on "Today's posts" that shows you just today's stuff without having to go into each section to find it. |

man - doncha love it when that college education pays off ? :p :p :p ...yankin your chain girl - LOL This IS a good reminder to everyone - the site IS HUGE and while General Discussion is great - Important posts actually last longer in their correct sections - they tend to get buried in General ...(That's an FYI from someone who hardly posts at all here).:p .........yeah RIGHT ! |

Great advice. I would guess that those of you who have been around here awhile get frustrated  when newbies ask the same questions over and over again and in the wrong forum. I think once you spend a little time here you figure it out. I did! :wavey: |

I also use Quick Links/Subscribed Threads too. This helps me keep up w/the ones that I've already responded to. |

And And And Sometimes I really get tired of the same old questions being asked over and over and over again. It would really be a great improvement if people would run a "search." Many people would discover that their questions have been answered dozens of times. And - for sure - there is a lot of good information and help to be found in earlier posts. It's unfortunate that most of these are replies are "gone and lost forever." I, for one, have answered some of the same questions many times - and am getting to where I just don't feel like doing it again. I am sure a lot of people with good information feel the same way. I really do enjoy and look for posts that are new and different. Carol Jean |
Me again!!! I just looked up a few common topics in search - and came up with 500 threads for several of them (it looks like that is all that is being kept available). Other common topics I looked up still had hundreds of threads. All our good work going to waste! Carol Jean |

I can't find that one! Karen |
Here you go: http://www.yorkietalk.com/forums/for...aysprune=&f=45 It's under Classifieds, 6th one down...... |
Some of us newbies just get so excited to talk to live people we sometimes forget to look and search i will definently try to search from now on and do it right lol! |
Searches are over-rated, too. Or maybe I just don't know how to do an effective one. :p It's a place to "start", but they very often turn up tons of threads that have NOTHING to do with what you really need to know, or else, MISS turning up threads that WOULD have been really helpful to you. I get more good info from just flipping back through the old pages and scanning message titles. |
