What would cause this?? Emma's ears have been standing for about 2 1/2 weeks now. All of a sudden today one decided to fall. she is so cute looking at me and turning her head one ear up and one down. I had them trimmed but once they started standing I didn't trim them anymore, so I trimmed them again today. Is this something that just happens? also I would like to know how you get the hair out of their ears I tried pulling but she yelped so much I started crying because I was hurting her. Is there an easier way to do this? Thanks |
i always thought you could pull inner ear hairs, but our groomer does this so im not sure. but about her ears standing, if she is teething that is most likely the cause and they will probably go back up soon. welcome to YT! |
Any number of things can cause the ears to flop. One of the major culprits is ear hair, so trimming that up might help. Another is teething. When the little ones are teething sometimes their ears will flop. |
Regarding the ear hair plucking..... try just pulling a few hairs at a time. It would be the same as pulling out a handful of hair from YOUR head as opposed to pulling out the same amount of hair a few hairs at a time. :D |
I have a question about ear hair too....I thought that you were only supposed to pull the hairs that you see growing down INto the ears...but when I look at my yorkies, I only see hair growing OUT of their ears. Is this the hair I'm supposed to pull? The ones that grow from the insides? Even if they're poking out, not in? |
