After reading this thread, what I don’t understand is how can he have so many sick animals? Yorkies are a hardy little breed. Also as everyone here, I am so sorry that you have a sick baby. How very sad for you I only wish there was something that I could say to help. :( |

If he were to be reading this thread or any of them , he would just be laughing. Just waiting on someone to come at him, he has the "connections" to fight back for free.......know what I mean? (a free yorkie for services rendered)..jerk. I have been going at this for months now, he is conveniently located outside the city limits too. His prices sure have seemed to drop ......he thinks he is untouchable..........at the moment it seems like nothing positive will come from my experience, but that is not to say that I have given up! My significant other(s) wants me to :'just let it go'........................... frozen in time is what I feel like. Paperwork ready to go, just having to battle with hubby about that now. Crap, this has just been too much fun. |

It is kind of a Catch 22 with Jeff Dane. People feel bad for these puppies and want to "rescue" them. So they purchase a puppy but really all they are doing is contributing to his evil ways. So, what's a girl to do :( It's hard to see those babies like that but it's hard to justify "rescuing" them, too. |
So sorry to hear this.:( |
I am sorry to hear that your puppy is sick. My husband and I purchased a cute, little puppy from Jeff in February 2009. He was diagnosed with Coccidia at the vet and was on antibiotics for 3 days. He is fine now. I don't think he has Kennel cough. He is just as active as the day we got him. We didn't pay the thousands of dollars like some dogs were priced. He was significantly cheaper than the others. Did you pay thousands of dollars for him? I will say that I wrote Jeff and informed him that our puppy had Coccidia and that he needs to treat his dogs for it because our Vet said it is very common but very contageous. He replied that they treat their dogs every day for Coccidia. I didn't reply back but thought...well our dog missed the treatment. We have been fortunate I guess to have such a great pup. I am sorry to hear that your's is so sick. Best of luck. |

yeah I came back to see if anyone responded and looked at all the dates only to notice that this was all posted in 2006. My puppy is fine now I just wish I would have read this before purchasing from Jeff. I guess I was lucky to get a somewhat healthy dog. |

I had something very similar happen to me. I purchased my little baby from a breeder from here in NY and she came to me with parvo. After bonding so much with her, I had to give her to the animal hospital because I couldnt pay for the bill. It was 5000.00 dollars. I wish we could do something to let people know of these nasty breeders that are just looking to make a few bucks. What can we do? |
I have heard nasty things about him from other people. |
I know this is an old thread, but it's good to spread the word about this particular breeder. :( :( :( |

omg! my puppy has coccidia, kennel cough and lice right now!!! ( I got her from a diffrent breeder) How soo did the signs start showing up?! |
My daughter and I have been to the police station in Bonhom to try to have him sited or shut down. I thought he moved and changed his name... |
This Jeff Dane was big in the monster trucks. I guess that's where he got all of his money to start his "puppymill". I wish they would get in there and shut him down! |

Exactly! I am fairly new to the site so I hadn't read the thread until it was brought back up. I am glad to see it and now know this info as I have looked at his site many times in my search for a local breeder...he is fairly local to me. |
Wow! I just came across this thread. I can't believe this guy he has over 90 puppies for sale on his site. And the rescue dogs are probably just his breeding females that he can't use any more. This is horrible. |
This is a GOOD OLE BOY TOWN and everyone there loves him. We have been threatened suit so I must keep low. My daughter bought one of his dogs and has gone to his home...We will keep trying to shut this down...Thats all I can say... |
Well, I have had family in the Bonham, Dodd City area all of my life. I would NEVER live there again. I can't say that I think the authorities there are corrupt, but....you might question why I don't live there any more. My family can trace its roots back to pioneer days in that area. Be VERY careful! |
I peeked in on his site and thought for a minute it had to be the same pictures he had up before. But I guess it is the same outfits and props. He has "teacups" listed from $650 to $7500! Some of the price differences don't seem to make any sense at all. Other red flags: --no pictures of parent dogs, --way too many puppies for anyone to raise with any sense of compassion, --more emphasis put on teacup size than any other characteristic, --health guarantee & help with papers denied to anyone wanting to breed, --suggesting puppies be allowed to eat anything, --each listing says "registered teacup" or "registered toy yorkie" -- doubt any are registered AKC. There are registries out there that will register anything, even dogs without papers on their parents, for a fee. But I don't know of any that register yorkies as teacup. All yorkies are considered in the toy category. --also sells mixed breeds (for very little $$ too, which makes one wonder if they were just puppies that came out not looking like they were supposed to and maybe the security of females only being bred by one male might not be all that great. After all, if he could make so much more on purebreds, why mix them?) Is there an anti-puppymill organization that might want to put up a billboard near this guys operation? |

Good luck and I so hope you are successful! He is notorious for threatening lawsuits against those that speak out about him. |
SHUT the ****er DOWN!!!! |

Posting all this info on here may not shut him down but it sure helps keep the rest of us from supporting him. I've actually got his site bookmarked as a possible breeder but have held off contacting him because of the "teacup" advertising and the fact that he always seems to have so many babies available. Thank you all for putting the word out and may he one day get what he truly deserves. |
