Reg. yorkies? my yorkie is ckc reg. is there any other ways i can reg. her? what's ASCA and apri ? thanks for any info! |
My Jamine and Butch had CKC registration papers. I chose to register them ACA (American Canine Association) because my other yorkies are either ACA or AKC. I had to send a COPY of the CKC papers and pictures of them along with their registration form (which can be retrieved from their website). You can call them at 800-651-8332 if interested in their registry and want to question them about it. Good luck.:) |
thank you |
CKC registration can either be Canadian Kennel Club (reputable) so you could most likely dual register with various agencies. There is also Continental Kennel Club which will probably not be accepted by most. ASCA is Australian Shepherd Club of America ?????? APRI is a registration agency that will accept AKC papers and other reputable agencies for a dual registration. They also provide APR registration for those with no papers. Unlike AKC they do not provide for a limited registration to restrict breeding rights. |
remmie is CKC and i am registering with North amiercan purbred dog registries NAPDR American Purebred registries APR and i think the other was aca, i havent sent in yet, still waiting on CKC paper |
APRI-which I think is the one you mentioned is the American Pet Registry which is different from the APR-American Purebred Registry.... |

America's Pet Registry, Inc. has yielded to the requests of numerous breeders and pet owners to establish a registry service that can accept dogs with known parents but those that do not have documented pedigrees at this time. Until now, APRI has been unable to register many dogs from other registry services that do not have documented pedigrees. With the establishment of American Pet Records the same great APRI service is available to those who have begged APRI to accept their dogs for dual registration. The American Pet Records dogs will not be entered into the APRI database but will be recorded separately. An American Pet Records dog may be mated with an APRI dog; however, the litter will be issued as American Pet Records. Litter pedigrees will not be offered on these litters, nor will pedigrees on the American Pet Records dogs be available at this time. Litter registration fees will be same as with APRI. The normal registration fee with American Pet Records is $20.00, but registered breeders will be charged only $10.00 for registration. Breeders may register with either APRI or American Pet Records There is also an American Purebred Registry: American Purebred Registry was created years ago to help overcome problems with lost registration papers whatever the reason. We start a pedigree file with the information the owner sends us. We do not have access to information from other kennel clubs, societies, registries or agencies. All the information must be provided by the owner of the dog or cat. Once an application is received and accepted by our office, all offspring of that animal are subject to registration by us, provided the animal was bred to a registered animal of the same breed. A photocopy of the registration of any animal not registered by us is required for the offspring to be registered. APR does not register crossbreeds. |
