My sister has been wanting a Yorkie or Yorkie mix for some time now. A courier came by my work with three puppies...I saw them and went "oh my gosh, are those yorkie pups??" They looked my Scout when he was a baby. Turns out they are Chi Doxy Yorkie...momma is Dachshaund with a little Chi and daddy is full Yorkie-bit of an accident. Anyway, I got this little boy for my sister. Here are pics...I knew you guys would love to see this mix!

Sorry the pics aren't very clear. My digital is in Florida with my sister. Here are two more with the puppy and my Yorkies. They aren't real sure about him!

Kimberly- I weighed him at my office at 2.2 lbs. So he is pretty tiny. He is about 11 wks old. I think he'll be a bit bigger than mine, but not by much. His daddy is a 3 lb Yorkie. He has the cutest personality. He's so spunky and playful, oh and what a little lover bug!!!

Aaaaaaaawwwww! That's the cutest little thing! I'm just trying to imagine what his character is going to be with the Dachshund and Yorkie gens... That's like multiply stubbornness with attitude and adding a great deal of Napoleon complex... She's going to have fuuuuuuun! :D

I know! He already thinks he's big stuff! It will be interesting to see what he looks like grown up.

She is in Florida on vacation (coming home today) and I called and told her about it and she wanted me to get him for her. The little boy should almost be broken from crying at night by the time she gets him-she had it made!
Sad background story on my sister: Her husband died 3 weeks ago (massive heart attack-34 years old!) and she's been dealing with alot. She took her 8 year old daughter to Disney to get away from it all. When I told her about the puppy and she wanted it, I said " are you sure this is the time to add a puppy?" She thought it might help Lauryn (8 year old) cope. Lauryn is very mature for her age-and will be marvelous. Hopefully it will help her keep busy and take her mind of things for a bit. This little guy will be well loved.

Tiffany, that is sooooo sad! I think a puppy is a good idea for both the child and mom, though. It will help keep them both busy!

My sympathies to your family. It's got to be tough. I think a puppy will help them both. It will not replace him certainly, but will give them both something to concentrate on & will give them soemthing to love & be happy about.

Make sure to take pics of the puppy as it grows...I'm curious as to what it'll look like. I've got the Yorkie & had a doxy since I was 13 (my parents had to have her put to sleep earlier this year) so they are both breeds that have a special place in my heart.

awww-thanks everybody! I'm sure the puppy will keep them busy...he's very demanding, and what a little loud mouth! My youngest daughter, Wendy,who is 15 has been bonding with the pup since Friday (after I told her not to get too attached!!) They came to get the pup about an hour ago and Wendy got all tearful. She gets so attached so quickly! Anyway, I will take pics as he grows and let you know what his name ends up being. He's been "Little Boy" at our house.
