Hummmm. I don't know of any vets in Florida! :p Maybe you can post on the Regional forum and get some good responses. Maybe since I replied and the thread will be bumped back to the top, then you'll get some responses. I hope you find a good vet for your baby. |

Getting recommentations is the best way to start. Then, call the practice and evaluate how nice/professional the front desk folks are. Those are the poeple you will deal with FIRST every single time you need to see the vet. If you have any negative feelings, then that would be a "caution flag" Next, I would make an appointment to "meet the vet". Go with or without your furkid, but make this a simple sit down chat and get "vibes" and tour the practice. It is $$ well spent. GOOD LUCK! |
I don't think vets go to medical school and specialize in "Yorkies." Any good vet should be able to take good care of your little Yorkie. Actually my vets (three that I like very much in the same office) said that their practice is seeing more and more little dogs all the time --- why! Simply, because little dogs have become so popular. And - two of my vets have little dogs themselves.... Carol Jean |
My vet in Tallahassee My vet's name is Scott Pliskin at the Mahan Animal Hospital 850-402-0557, seem very nice and we only just started there in Dec '05 but no issues so far and that's always good! http://haileyhottie.wordpress.com/ |
