Buster biting my feet and legs My 11 Week old Yorkie Buster! Goes through these jaunts wheres he attacks my feet and legs, I have tried the ignoring thing and no is a constant when he does this I even roll him on his back until he settles. Does anyone else have any suggestions? Will this stop after he is neutered. Is he just trying to be dominant? Other then this he is the best dog ever. Any housebreaking tips would also be welcomed.:animal-pa |
Neutering alone won't stop it. I'm finding that I can control a lot of those bad habits by getting them to do another behavior. Like sit. Or down. If you reward a positive behavior, they tend to forget the negative one. At least that's the theory. I'm a bad one to give advice on this topic. I let my guy chew on my ankles as a game. |
I'm pretty sure it's just puppy behavior. It's not a male thing - Bailey's our little girl, and she does it, too - but not as often as she did a few weeks ago. She's 13 weeks old and doesn't do it very often now. Keep doing the same thing, I guess. It's what we did, and she's either learning or growing out of that behavior. |
Sounds like typical puppy behavior to me. Just keep doing what you're doing but don't yell your "no". I find that they stop what they are doing if you say it in a softer voice because they want to hear what you are saying. As far as potty training, persistance, patience, persistance, patience. |
janet has said it alll... goooo girl |
thank you for your help!!!!! He's napping right now. I'm going to start the training as soon as he starts again. It's mainly inthe morn. After he goes potty (outside) most of the time. |
