Herding instinct
 
I haven't read the other thread on this, but it sounds like it's your dog's herding instinct. Yes, yorkies have that instinct too. I know they do because we raise Quarter Horses and Texas Longhorn cattle, and our little yorkie would try to herd the animals with our border collies. We would always call her right back though. It's not safe to have your yorkie around horses, or any other animal that large. Horses kick and stomp and that would easily kill a yorkie. Anyway, there's my two cents!

That is so true. Lil Bumblebee herds the baby nanny goats around and does a really good job of keeping them out of the garden.

And I believe you. sure it's possible. But I've been working around horses since I was 7....so it's very odd (and you're VERY VERY lucky) that this horse didn't turn around and try to kill your dog.

the only thing that upset me about it was that people thought it was funny. and that you want to fight it! what's that all about!? if any of my animals bit someone or something, I would certainly muzzle them until their aggression is under control. I don't understand why you want to fight this?

I NEVER thought this simple post would grow to this world-class level! Just yesterday,I had a e-mail from the BBC!!!! I may have to charge for any TV production!!! Wow!!! What do I do??

Lool charge for TV production??? I work in television, and I've worked in news stations, I am pretty doubtful anyone would pay money to hear about your supposed dog biting a horse :confused: :rolleyes:
