whispersmom2 | 06-12-2006 08:21 AM | Personally, I think an inexpensive clipper with the detachable combs are a safer bet. Put the comb on that is the next one up from the really short one. Then shave the hiney and that way, you cannot nick the skin. As you gain experience, you can leave the comb off and do a really close cut..
Anyway, their hineys will heal but it makes them more nervous (and you) the next time you do it....buy aloe gel with benzocaine to put on the nick to take away the pain immediately....make sure there is NO alcohol. Also, I use OraJel for EVERYTHING! It numbs right away...just make sure you buy 2 tubes and mark the rear-end one...for obvious reasons. YUCK!!! |
