Champ is nine weeks old and just got his second set of shots yesterday. Since yesterday and even today, he screams when we touch him or pick him up. I was just wondering if any of your puppies acted that way? I feel so sorry for him. He also weighed 2.8 lbs. Is that a good weight?

Royce got hs rabbies shot yesterday and was perfectly normal . Same thing when he got his second shots when he was 12 weeks old .:aimeeyork

Riley got her 2nd puppy shot yesterday. She did find. She slept a bit more than normal but ate & played as normal. She's 11 wks & 2 lbs.

your baby MIGHT BE just sore from the injection site - watch for swelling or any heat or odd behavior - but he is PROBABLY just sore - I would avoid picking him up for a day or 2 till the soreness eases.

My vet sent us home with Baby asprin - BEFORE DOING ANYTHING ALWAYS CONSULT YOUR VET - but you may be able to give him a 1/4 of an asprin to help the pain.

Awww, those darn shots can make them so sore. Poor little guy. He'll feel better in a day or two. Hugs

Sadie always feels bad the day she gets shots. She's sore & usually sleeps a lot

The first set up boosters I got Cali I put her n her playpen and then when she woke up a few hours later I went to pick her up she screamed! I felt so bad. I told the vet next time and they give her a liquid pain killer for little dogs now after ther shots. Cali was 1 lb at the time. By the next day she was better. Just watch or ask where they give the shot and becareful there. I think the vet said the shots in the thigh are worse than the ones on the back of their necks

Gypsy is the same. It breaks my heart everytime she yelps when i pick her up after she gets shots.

Last week, Bailey had her 3rd round of shots - 2nd since we've had her. After the first time we took her to get shots, I thought I was prepared. That time, she got both shots between her shoulders. She really yelped when we picked her up wrong for about a day, but it wasn't too bad. Last week, she got three shots. One was between the shoulders and she got one in each thigh. When I picked her up later in the day, she screamed like she was being beaten! Broke my heart. She slept a little more than usual, but she played normally - just couldn't stand to be picked up or touched around the shot sites for a couple of days.

I remember wheb Bailey had one he was sore for awhile and yelped when I picked him up, it's sore, sometimes they get the muscle.
