Bad Hair Days! My puppy Bella is now 3.5 months and her hair is growing quick! I was wondering if anyone has any suggestions on how to tame the hair around her eye area! It is not long enough to tie up and I've tried brushing it back but it doesn't stay! I've heard it's not a good idea to cut the hair arond that area either so I don't know what to do. I think I'm more irritated by it than she is!!! LOL Thanks!:aimeeyork |

I have this same problem! Chloe is 13 weeks and she has a very thick coat that has grown very quickly. She always gets hair in her eyes and then the little eye gunk makes it stick... it annoys the hell out of me, but doesn't seem to bother her at all. And everytime I try to move it out of her face she brushes her paws over her face(like a cat cleaning it's face) and moves it right back... someone help us!!! |

This is a popular question. If you don't want to trim the hair on a regular basis, you can use vaseline to slick it down (although now you're gonna have to deal with the "oily" look). In the past, other people have also suggested hair gel and hair wax. |

Just trim the hair a bit. Have someone hold his head while you trim the hair around his eyes. He will look better too. |

I get Tiffany's trimmed. I have never heard that about it not being good to cut it. Do you know why? =) |

i trim Bo' because the vet told me to get the hair away from his eyes...she said it wasnt comfortable to them and thats what made thier eyes water all the time she said it would be like you haveing a hair in your eye 24/7 it would hurt...so i trim his and he is so use to it he will sit and let me do it and not move a muscle lol.....but until yours gets use to it i would have someone hold him for you....i use little sissors that came in a nail kit and that way they are small enough to get into the area i need to trim....and to be honest with you he look 100% better now that i can see his eyes....godd luck in what ever you decide |

I just recently gave mine all "bangs". I also just trimmed some hair on the snout that was aiming toward the eyes. I really wish I wouldn't have trimmed the snout. Everyone is different. My Mom cuts a lot of the hair off of her Yorkies. I prefer it longer and could actually kick myself for cutting so much of the length off of Tiah's hair. If you are going to trim, maybe you should use thinning shears so as not to get a "blunt" cut. Good luck. |
