I am so upset over this. Hi ALL  Guess what the breeder I got my Yorkies tried to pull. She posted my 2 Yorkies on Puppyfind, which I did get from her 8 months ago for sale under Mega and Merlin. These are my dogs. I have them posted on my website. A lady contacted me when she knew the pic looked familiar. She inquired about the dog and asked 3x's if that was the dog for sale. She said yes and sent her more of my puppy's pic to her. She sent her a paypal request for money form under my zipcode. She then canceled the paypal request only after I contacted her. She does not even have my dogs on her website nor did she state these a puppies from her last litter. I am sooo upset. I hope she didnt fraud anyone else. I don't understand this. She has such nice puppies and dogs. |
I would be very upset too. I could see if she asked permission to list their pictures as though they are a representation of what her pups grow to be. Did you meet this person hands on when you bought your pups from her? I wonder what is going on there? Glad you found out fast. You might want to notify paypal. The last thing you want is to have someone defrauding others in your name. |
Clearly I would report her to the police department in her hometown. I can not tell the amount of scams that are being ran on families as well as breeders over stealing money or dogs photos. Breeders are fighting back and contacting the police. So scamers beware. |
I gave her permission only hi I gave her permission only to show what last litters produce. She could of stated that this dog not is for sale that a product of what the puppies will look like. Yes, I met her in person and have kept in contact with her. She only 45 min from me. |

Ooo. I thought she uses the zip with the paypal name you normally use or something close to it as to cause confusion. As for her using the same zip you can still contact paypal and tell them that you know for a fact that is not her zip and that she may be trying to solicite funds by fraud. Explain the whole thing to them. Let them decide if they want to intervene in the situation. I presume her living 45 minutes away she sure doesn't have the same zip. |
If she is trying to scam people and you have proof - you can report her to the police. We all have to do our parts to stop the scammers - they're taking over the world it seems. You just saved someone from getting ripped off - GOOD FOR YOU ! |
Just tell paypal the whole story. tell them You gave her permission to use the pics as PREVIOUS LITTERS NOT FOR SALE and tell them she is telling ppl yours are the puppies for sale and that she is just using your zip code.... that you know of. |
I also I also posted something on Puppyfind under Watch out in IL. with my dogs pics and her name. I asked anyone who has sent her money for my dogs tom contact me ASAP. I just hope we caught her in time! |
Does she have a website? You ok to give us her name so we can be on the look out? |
Her name is Jody Casper, IL |
did you email puppyfinder? it takes them a day or so but they are really good about checking into things like that and banning scammers and deleting ads. You can also gogle her phone number and email address to see if she has the ads anywhere else. |
The name sounds familiar...I know I have seen it mentioned elsewhere. |
Has she been on a fraud site. |
Here is her website |
I am racking my brain trying to remember. |
Man, this is horrible what happened to you... that is why I have learned, thankfully from YT, to research people and get references.. unfortunately I didnt learn that until AFTER I had a Yorkie. Thankfully, Tootie is in pretty good health(he has recently had high liver enyzmes but is fine)... |
If we were getting another puppy today, I don't know what we would do. With all that I've read about terrible puppy mills, disreputable breeders and uninformed individuals, I guess the only place to feel comfortable about acquiring your puppy is by personal reference from someone that you know to have had a good experience with the seller. I'm just pleased beyond words that after a month with Bailey, everything about her seems perfect - since much about the way we bought her would throw up red flags to me now. We bought her from an ad in the paper placed by people we knew nothing about, and they lived about two hours away from us. We met at a truck stop half way between our homes. Not a great way to get your new baby! BUT, on the positive side, they had the whole litter of pups (4) and the mom and dad with them. We fell in love with all of the puppies, but settled on just one. The owners did seem nice and loving with all of the dogs, and all of the dogs (parents and pups) were clean, apparently healthy and happy, and certainly well socialized. They had all of the puppy's shot records, registration papers, and enough of the food Bailey had been eating to last a few days. They told us what she had been eating and when. They pointed out from the medical records when we should next take Bailey to the vet for booster shots and for a general exam. Even with all of that, though, you have people like the one you've dealt with - and you're left really concerned about how to go about getting another baby!!!! |
awwww Bailey is too cute! I am terrified now to look for another baby, but I know where to come to make sure everything is ok..... YT...... I am on the hunt now for an adult "baby girl" that is tiny.....I am in no hurry, thats for sure |
update Hi Just wanted to let everyone know I did contact the Internet fraud dept. I found out that what she is called "bait n switch". This is Illegal. |
I am glad you contacted the police. Yes it is something I have seen done a few times. Even had a breeder do it to me once. I was pretty upset. It is sad that people have to be that way. They use a few good photos to sell the pups that arent' as nice. They figure you won't know. I can't help but wonder what is happening with all the pets that have and are still being stolen from internet fraud. Someone mentioned a fake website. Put my head to hurting. I have been so stressed over all the scams that are going on. May just be a good idea for some of the breeders who have have pets stolen to start looking around at some the new breeders websites that are popping up. Thanks to whom mentioned it, gives me a new road to look at. |
resale ? that's quite odd! have you contacted this seller? i think that's what i would do 1st! it's not an old add for the dogs you got that wasn't ever removed is it? either way i hope all is figured out and nobody thinks they will get your dogs then be out $! |
