Another Question re: Bows Sadie's hair is so soft, esp. after a bath, that it is very difficult to keep a bow in her hair. :( Does anyone have any ideas as to what I can do? Those elastic bands do not work on her, so I use a barrette. Thanks. Kate |

I tried putting that sticky fabric (on one side) on one side of the barrette, and it did not help. Thanks. |

I put in an elastc band in first then put the bow band or barrette in |
rubberband then barrette bow, that is what I do too. |
1 Attachment(s) Silicone band, then barrette clip around it. The silicone bands work pretty well and don't pull the hair out, but they do need to be tight. The smallest ones get wrapped around Sissy's fine, silky face hair 3 times!! |
1 Attachment(s) You could try putting in a band then putting in another band and putting the bow between them. See attached picture. Attachment 56404 That works for a lot of people who have trouble getting their dog's bow to stay in the hair. Hugs, Connie www.lawdogbows.com |
oooh i like that look |
Everyone: Thank you all so much for the suggestions. I like the band idea, and I do have the ones used for Yorkies, but have never had any luck. I am willing to try it again. I will even try the scrunchie suggestions. I think I saw those in the childrens' section at Walmart. Thanks so much for the photos. You guys/gals are great. That was a big help. Cute too. Another question: Do you take the bows out when your kids go to bed? I used to, but I think it is uncomfortable for Sadie to have all that hair in her face. Many thanks. |
I always take Mellie bows out even if I leave her pony in. I also use the silicon hair bands and tie her pone tight. I wrap it 3x's. They really stretch alot. THen I put the bow on under the band. |
I use the bands and bow with Parker. I dont take his out when he sleeps, he is use to them. They are soft. I take it down every 3 days, brush, and then redo to keep it from getting tangled. |
That picture helps alot before reading this thread I didn't know anything about how to put bows in properly!! |
