meg with pics (i hope) 2 Attachment(s) After animal control left the police went to the ladys house and took her and the dog down to the station. Then the police took the dog to the vet so that we could verify age, which confirmed what we already knew. Then they took meg and my husband into a room to have him call her and she came immediatley to him. The woman had no papers and no proof of purchase so that helped us. They also called the breeder where we got her to verify our story, and papers. And now she if finally home and we are so happy!!!:) :) |

YEAH!!!!! Finally - I have been reading this thread for a while now thinking when is she going to be home - thank goodnes you got her back - but seriously what drama and very strange! |
ill post new pics tomorrow she needs a bath and trimed cant get her in till 7:30 am. she looks bad hair is a little matted they didnt take very good care of her. even though we got her back the investigation wont be closed till next fri. they believe my story is why we got her back but they are going to give her time to get proof that she cant get. the det. said she has to have alot and if need be we can do a dna test to prove she is ours. that isnt a problem because the breeder said they would bring both mother and father to terre haute at no charge to do it. so that wont be faked we will win again. thank you all again for all your support.. you have helped us through a rough time. thank you verry much. |
Yeah, I am so glad you got her back!!!! :cheer: :yay_jump: :woof: :2party: It is ridiculous though, that the police did not believe you and you had to wait so long to get her back. I would want a big apology from the police who were being stupid and would not believe you!!!! Are you pressing charges against your neighbor, I would so that it would be on record and so that they know better and not to do it again!!! |
we are going to wait till next fri when the investigation is closed before we do anything. after that we are going to gather all the paperwork and nail her to the wall. right now we are not allowed to have any contact with her so we have to be good for a week. and then on mon the 19 she will have her chip put in the police said we have to wait till then to do anything with her.now i must go to work but my wife is still here to chat. |

wow...I can't imagine going through something like that! This neighbor must be off her rocker to think that she could get away with it! I hope the remainder of the investigation goes smoothly and that you can get on with your lives. It's terrible that this day and age you can't even trust your neighbor! I'd certainly do what I could to proscecute her...you went through alot of stress over this. |
Congratulations. I must admit, this story is so strange that I thought there was some sort of crazy scam going on, but I couldn't figure out how we were being scammed. Oh my gosh...I just read this entire thread! It was unbelievable how your neighbor could claim Meg was their dog and did they think you were going to give up when they said she was a male? Stupid people! I'm so sorry Meg had to spend any amount of time with them. Poor thing must have wondered why you wouldn't take her home. Thank goodness it's over now! How did she get taken? Had she run out of the yard? Bless her little heart...I'm so glad she's where she belongs! You're right...a yorkie owner knows their yorkie! It must have broken your heart to see her and then not be able to take her with you! So glad there's a happy ending! Welcome home, little Meg! |
I haven't been on for a while here. Your story caught my attention and all I can say is that the police that went there are some really stupid SOB's All they had to do is get another dog to compare it to! I also thought this was a scam story. That was insane what your family had to go through. Let me tell you ,you and your family are too nice. I would have gone there with my husband and would have forced myself in there and taken my dog back. I dont care,call the cops! Fortunately my dogs are chipped. I have kept every paper from their vet checks,the purchase,the microchip papers and probably have hundreds of pictures of them! I would have been throwing up at the thought of spending one night without my furbabies. I'm so happy you got your little girl back.Please let us know the outcome. OMG ! Are you lucky to get her back - dognapping is getting HUGE and most of the time they are sold quickly for a fast buck ! I'm so glad this had a happy ending and how TERRIBLE of your neighbors - they should have charges against them for theft AND Kidnapping a dog if they even can do that :mad: |
