Neighbor's Workers Tried To Take Paris Our elderly neighbor has care takers an emphasis on "takers". They have wrecked her house the whole clan hangs out there and they have two weenie dogs who have ruined her carpet took bites out of her screen door and dig holes between our yard and hers. Well I let out my 3 puppies and my daughter let them in shortly after and Paris didn't run in. I was frantic. Hubby was gone to store and I was trying desperately to call him. I was outside yelling my head off for her. I was frantic! I knew there was no way she could get out but I feared she had done just that. Well my husband pulled up and I ran over to him and yelled. We went in the back to see if she was behind the shed or anything and my husband noticed another hole to the neighbors back yard. I climbed on a chair to see if she was back there, she wasn't. I told my husband to march over there and see if they had her. He did and low and behold there she was. They claim they didn't know she was ours. Well I have a few questions like could they not hear me yelling my head off outside, all the other neighbors did, and just how did they think she magically appeared in their back yard. My babies will only go out with me from now on, I am so freaked out. They have seen us with Paris and Prince before. I have a feeling they were going to take her home and tell us they never laid eyes on her. I just can't understand people! Sorry so long! |
Unfortunately, stuff like that happens. That's pretty much what happened when I lost my Bichon, except that my neighbors denied ever seeing her even though that's the only place she could have went. I'm still on the look out for her, and when my Yorkie comes home... I'm never letting her outside without me there with her. |

Thats sorta what happened to me. After Katrina our house was destroyed and when we had workers over there one day someone snatched my Libby... She was my one year old yorkie.. We never found out who... I still miss her. I just hope someone is taking good care of her! :) |

That's terrible Kristi. I didn't know you were a victim of Katrina. So sorry you had to go through Katrina and lose you baby. |
How messed up... That's just terrible that you had to go threw this and it's even worse that those neighbors where actually going to steal ur baby. How awful....I am just glad you got ur furbaby back...Be thankful for that...U never know who you can trust??? |
That horrible! Does your neighbor have any relatives that you know of? If so when they come to visit let them know what's going on.... |
She has a son and daughter. the daughter is worthless. We have told the son about our concerns and he doesn't know what to do. We have made sure there will be no more escape for the little girl. I was so scared, and to think she was next door. And they did have to hear me yelling for her their front door was wide open. I'm just so glad she is home. She gave me a good scare. I feel for the one on here that the neighbors down the street have and they can't get back. HOW SAD! |
I Cant Believe That Someone Would Just Take Your Dog. That Is Horrible. I Am So Sorry That You Were A Victim Of Katrina That Must Have Been Awful To Go Through All Of That And Still Loose Your Baby. I Would Be A Basketcase. |
So glad you got your Paris back, I never let my furbabies outside unless I am out with them for that reason. People will steal them in a second. My fear is will they love them like I do, things have changed over the year, you would think you could leave your dog out in your fenced yard and they would be safe. |
I'm so thankful this story has a happy ending! There's no excuse for people stealing dogs, but it seems to happen so often anymore! I'm glad Paris is back with you and I hope something can be done about those people taking advantage of your elderly neighbor. |
You may help the next person who has a yard  I am ALWAYS watching my girls in my fenced in yard - My neighbors would never steal my girls - but I take NO chances with them. It only takes a second for a dog to go under a fence.... and they could get hit by a car, stolen or Mauled by another dog.... you're VERY smart to be there with them. That just SUCKS those people would do that - they HAD to know she was yours - and it sure sounds like they were going to just keep her - how LOW IS THAT ! I had to redo my whole fence at the base because my neighbors dogs were digging - and it really worked - I just put up baseboards so NOTHING can get under it on that side. |
Fences Please tell me what you did to dog proof your fence. I want details. LOL Nancy |
C'mon, V. Show us those pics of the fence repairs....c'mon now. Don't be shy... I need a good laugh.. As for the post...I am glad you got your baby back but I cannot begin to tell you how distressed I am about that elderly woman. I would call the dept of aging in a skinny minute. Please use this opportunity to do whatever can be done to help her out...That is not considered butting in. It is called "Preventing elder abuse!" Lordy, I didn't mean to take off like this but these situations are the single worst IMO and those people should be dealt with by the law. Just my opinion.. |
