Annabelle poops and pees on her bed! Gross!
 
Is that normal? She has a pee pad in her cage, but still poops in her little sleeping crate. Just when I thought she was getting the hang of it too. Oh well.

Because she has a pee pad on her crate, that says it is okay to relieve themselves. Dogs don't want to mess up their sleeping area unless you are telling them it is okay . . . pee pads has a scent that triggers them to go, when they need to. Maybe you need to take that out. See how that goes.

Ok, maybe I should make her crate smaller, I was going to wait until she was a little bigger, so she can be in her crate longer without having to "go."

Annika is only 13 weeks and her crate is as big as Tigers . . I'd say 5 - 2 lb. yorkies can fit in there . . yet she does not soil it because she knows it is just for sleeping. Why don't you just take off the pad and use a favorite blanket that she loves to sleep in . . .that has worked for me!

Oh wait, when I say she has a pee pad in her crate, I meant in the large crate. She has a small crate with no door with a blankie, which is inside a large cage big enough for a labrador. The small crate is her bed, but she pees in that, even though I have a pee pad out side. See pic.

I trained Cali in a dog playpen with her pad on one end and her blankets at the other. She never messed on her bedding so it did work for us. Although Cali wasn't in her playpen for long periods of time since I no longer work. I would wsh her bedding daily so if she messes on it you get the scent out of it. Good luck!

Annika has the same pink crate :thumbup: but it is not in a bigger crate. It is in our bedroom and she has slept there a few times without any problems. Of course these days she sleeps with me and so she sleeps straight until the following morning. How about if you take the pink crate to your bedroom right next to you and see how that goes . . .

During the day, annika has a day bed inside an expen and the pad is on the farthest side of the pen.
