I read that they can see colors but they are not as bright as we see them. They are muted. Anyway Chachi and Jewels like red and pink because thats what I like |
Dogs are not color blind like they only see black and white, they do see colors they are just disorted and the colors they see are not as bright and viewed the same way as humans. Peppi loves red, when she gets to pick a toy she will go for a red one. Trixie seems to like hot pink, not pink, but hot pink, and Daisy likes orange. I don't know about Scampers. |
Dogs are not color blind - but they are "color limited." They do not see the full spectrum of colors that we see. There are a lot of articles on the Internet that go into a great deal of detail ---explaining more specifically which colors dogs can see - and which they don't. Carol Jean |

hi patti. I haven't updated the site yet. Although we has a walk last weekend I didn't get many pictures. :( |
A dog\'s vision is similar to a human having red/green color blindness. They are unable to tell the difference between these two colors. A dog playing with a red ball in the grass will have a more difficult time "seeing" the toy. Their vision is also better in dimmer light than ours. Ramsey has a little red life ring squeaky that she loves, but I don\'t think the color has anything to do with it. It squeaks and she loves squeakies.... |
