I'm just not ready Tiffanys appointment is tomorrow morning. (For spay, teeth pull, and hernia) and I just don't think I'm ready. I have been trying to pepare myself all week but I think I am going to re-schedule. Maybe next week. I just don't want her to be in pain. |

Kristi, Tiffany will be fine, it's always harder on us than it is for them. She will be fine, she's going to come home tired, but by the weekend, it's back to play time. Go buy her a new little toy to sleep with when she comes home. It will make you feel better. Hang in there, we are here with you.:2hearts2: :2hearts2: |
The sooner you have it done the sooner she will feel better. I know it is so hard to see our babies in pain. Sending you a great big hug! Be sure to make them give you a pain reliever for her. She will feel better in no time. |
It is best if you do it now for both of you. The longer you put it off the more worring you will do. It will be ok. Sending good thoughts your way. |
Thanks everyone for the encouragment. I just worry about her being so small and something going wrong. Poor thing doesnt even know. I am going to give her a bath today and get her all ready. - On a lighter note, the vet liked the dress she had on that i made her and wants me to make some more and bring them up there to sell. I am excited about that. I worried that no one would like them. (I am just too sensitive!) Thank you all for the support! Do you think I should wait and give her a bath when she gets home instead of today? |
My vet said not to bathe mine for 10 days afterward |
She probably won't be up for a bath when she gets home, so if you want her all nice and clean I'd go ahead and do it. Don't worry, she will be fine. My Tucker is going in for surgery tomorrow and I'm a mess too lol. And how exciting that you get to see your dresses! That'll be a lot of fun! Give Tiffany a big hug for me! |
Good luck with the surgery. I would give the bath before it will be a little while before you can give her a bath. |
Kristi I know exactly how you feel and cali ws bigger than Tiff, but I waited til she came in heat and then ended up doing it in an emergency situation. Which is probably good because I kept putting off making the appointment. I was so relieved as we all are once they are home with us and it's all over. Just make sure they do presurgery blood work and have them call you as soon as she is out of surgery. Let us know when she is out!! You are both in my prayers! Tell Tiffany, Cali sends her hugs! |
GoodLuck with the surgery...and don't back out...do it now and get it over with. Ur baby will be just fine you will see. Goodluck and Best Wishes....**********HUGS************ |
Good luck with your baby, and like everyone said, just do it and get it over with. If she's with a good vet, she'll be more than just fine. Kisses and hugs. Let us know how things go! |
no bathing with stitches. make sure you give her a bath tonight. that way she will be fresh and dry too. I think you will be surprised at the speed at which they 'spring back'. I think it is true, they don't have as hard time with the whole thing as we do. good luck and keep us updated. |
Surgery Now ! I know you are scared! But if you wait it will increase with time.Do it now! Talk to your vet more about the surgery. Blood work done before surgery is a must and Painkillers after surgery. Good Luck Sending Prayers and Hugs your way Take Care, Sondra |
She'll be fine! Oscar had his neuter and 14 teeth pulled last thursday ( I cried when I dropped him off (I'm such a boob)) He was a little sore the first night but bounced back really quickly! Your baby will pull through just fine! Take one of your shirts or sweaters with your 'scent' on it for her to sleep on when she comes out of surgery... may sound dumb... but I felt better knowing Oscar had a little piece of me there with him plus I bundled him up in it when I took him home that night. Good luck! |
