Pat, Should you beable to tell about there bite at 10 weeks old. How would you tell if the bite is right, Thanks |
bite You can tell a very bad bite early...4 weeks or so, maybe ealrier..in fact you do not need teeth to see if the gums are even or way off.. those are the really bad misaligned jaws. A slightly over or under really is nothing to be concerned about unless you want a breed/show potential..and at 10 weeks you can see the bites very well..but this is what makes it a guessing game..a perfect bite at 10 weeks does not guarantee a perfect bite at adulthood...the adult teeth must come in to actually know 100%..but a doggie dentist can look at show pups mouth and pull any teeth that might help an "iffy" bite. Hope this helps. |
Pat, Thanks for the info, you are always such a great help. Hope to go see the pup again this week and am going to check out her gums. Thanks |
Thanks Pat you are so much help, I have been going to work and telling my friend that has a yorkie alot of good info too. |
Gracie has a slight underbite and since she has grown you don;t notice it at all. Well I tend to notice because I know its there but I have never had anyone mention it. The vet did however tell me she had an underbite but it should cause any major problems chances are there will not be any problems. |
Yes I have a 3 month old teacup yorkie with an overbite also the vet also told me not too worry but I don't know I would like to have more info if anyone knows more about this please let me know |
This is an old post. You might want to start a new thread. |
