sat on the dog!!! help I sat on my puppy. I was sitting down on my couch and even though I saw her on the side, she ran under me as I sat. How can I tell if I hurt her!!!! I feel so bad, she seems ok, but omg I cant believe that happened I try to be so carefull! |
You did WHAT? How could you DO such a terrible thing? You're a bad, bad puppy mommy! Just kidding!!!!! Hehe. You're so sweet to be concerned. Don't worry...puppies are made of rubber when it comes to stuff like that. — Sully loves to sleep in our bed with us, and often times my husband and I were terrified of rolling over on the poor pup when he was a tiny little guy, hehe! Just a reminder, though - your dog sits on YOUR lap, not vice versa! LOL. |
No I feel so bad!, AHHHH I am just sick that I did that. I just didnt expect her to get up and move so fast, I mean I had just looked at her sitting there, and next thing I knew..I had a lump under my butt!! She does seem ok, I just cannot believe I just did that I feel so stupid. :( |
Don't be so hard on yourself!!! :) Accidents happen! I was so worried about Avery when I first got him......but he is TONS tougher than I thought he would be.....and not scared of ANYTHING....makes me worry sometimes. |
Aww, it's okay. I know how hard it is when you do something "wrong" - you beat yourself up. But these guys are so resiliant and I'm sure she's fine. I know how you feel, but try not to be hard on yourself. Accidents happen to the best of us :) |
I'm pretty sure we've all had encounters like that! I know Max thinks it's a game to get to my seat before me...and he nearly gets squashed every night! We've even developed a code "noise" because that's all the time we have to get something out before one of us sits on him! LOL |
My sister's friend sat on her lil' yorkie and ended up having surgery . . .the pup, not the friend. She felt awful but it happens sometimes. Before you sit, pick up the pup then once you're sitting, you're already in the cuddling position. Glad your baby is okay. Lisa |
Oh, I've done that too! I am amazwd with how little these guys are and how fast they move that they make it throught puppyhood! LOL! I have noticed that everytine something happens they learn real quick to stay out of the way. I am still careful when they are underfoot not as paranoid as I used to be. I am sure your baby will be fine! |
toby's favorite hangout just happens to be where everyone sits....... he even sleeps on the dining room chairs at my moms house  , he hasnt been sat on, but he has been stepped on plenty of times..... sorry, but i culdnt help but laugh at youre intial post :p |
I accidently stepped on my male's foot one time and was feeling soooo guilty! I got a bell for both my dogs collars and that has help alot! but there is still the odd sorry... |
That is almost a weekly occurance round here. You can ask anyone that knows me and they will tell you I am always fussing about hubby doing something to one of the younguns. Your baby is fine. And, cut yourself some slack. You don't have eyes in your butt!! |

:D That really made me laugh, nope no eyes in my butt! ROTFLMAO thanks everyone, I do feel netter, and she does seem fine :) . I was just sick that I had done that, I always try to be so careful, and ahhh, it just shocked me. |
Things happen! There's been a few times I have been walking along and my Misti will get in the way of my legs and I've litterally kicked her and she will yelp. She will probably have learned by her mistake and when she see's your caboos coming at her she will gladly move for you. As long as she's acting fine I would not even worry about her. :D |
These little ones! I can just see her under your butt! I can see why you were frightened, though. As long as she seems okay, I am sure she is. Last week, I was outside pruning my bushes, when I dropped the pruning shears and it hit Snoodles right in the face. She screeched and ran away. I felt sooooo bad. I grabbed her and hugged her and kept saying how sorry I was. I was lucky she didn't have broken bones in her face. When one accidently hurts their babies, we almost feel like throwing up! My belly just took flip flops! Gosh it hurts! Pat |
Sat On Your Dog!!! I cant say I have sat on She-ra, but I cant even remember how many times I have tripped over her and landed on my face , she is like a shadow that doesn't move!!!! She stays right behind me wherever I go!!! I am sure you didn't hurt your baby, but I bet she'll watch out from now on!!! :yelrotflm Just kidding you know!!! |

not to mention the plenty of times they've been stepped on because they are so tiny! but they are fine.. and omg at whispersmom.. eyes in your butt thats a good one :yelrotflm |
My baby is being babysat by my best friend today at her house as my landlord is coming to do some work in the house and dogs are a NO NO. When I was about to leave, he got under my feet and he was yelping. I feel so bad and so guilty cause he was excited thinking he was going to go so he was dancing around my feet and being a bad mommy, I kicked and stepped on him. Guilt all day for me. |
She-ra could be a third leg for me, like she is stuck to me!! Sometimes she is so dence, I crack up at her. |
Don't worry too much I bet he is just fine! I was a worry wart when we first got our Chico well, actually still is! LOL :D I always worry someone is going to step on him or something but now when I see my 2 year old play with him in the backyard I'm starting to learn to relax a LITTLE bit more! |
Stuff like that unfortunately happens. They are so small and quick, it is amazing. Don't beat yourself up. Make sure the pup is eating, drinking, sleeping, playing and going to the bathroom like normal. Plus, make sure the pup doesn't have any sore spots. This type of thing happens and will probably continue to happen. Whether from you, another person or even an animal. My parents Yorkapoo had its tail broken by their 6 month old Golden puppy. He is alright, it is just really difficult situation. With my Alex I would hold him when I would sit down. Plus, to stop from getting under foot I will "GENTLY" ( I repeat GENTLY) move him with my foot when he would get to close to where I was standing. He learned never to be close to feet. He will stay a fair distance away from feet and even other dogs. Hope this helps...Everything will be alright. Your pup is adorable. |
And they say that Superman is faster than a speeding bullet, bet they never own a Yorkie! |
I remember when I gave Shuggie her first bath, I wrapped her in a towel to dry her off and she was SO tiny I couldn't feel her and she fell out of the towel, thank GOD she landed on her bed I was setting her on, it could have been really bad. I freaked and felt soooo bad. I used a hand towel after that. |
