Suggestions..??? well I was using frontline Plus.. Im ready to re-order and thinking about Revolution, I like the idea of it's multiple preventions and just spoke with my vet for a quote for Revolution, she told me if I had a flea problem it will not work (I don't) and was going to call me back with the price, because she only knew of prices for larger dogs! she said for a large dog it would run around 90.00?? can anyone advise me where to purchase this and since tilly is about 15lbs and sami is 6 lbs Im alot confused on the weight issue. I checked on animal RX & it says Revolution 6 month supply For Dogs 10-20 lbs.$70.50..would this be the one I buy? I also checked petmeds, petscriptions & petsRX anyone have any ideas or can offer suggestions on any online meds for reasonable prices, and since I wouldn't know what is a reasonable price on this particular product? I could use your advice pleeze... |
I use Revolution on my 6 month old. I buy a 3 month supply from my vet for $39.00. So the $70.00 for 6 months supply is a good price. My vet only carries the 3 month supply box. So far we haven't had any ticks or fleas. I used it when my 2 year was a puppy also. I use Frontline on her and she takes the Interceptor for heart worm protection. I am probably going to switch her back to the Revolution when she runs out of these. It is less money to use the Revolution vs buying flea/tick protection and a seperate protection for heart worms. My vet is very confident that the Revolution is a good product. Telea, Zoe' and baby Mia :animal-pa :animal-pa |
I use Revolution and pay $70 for a 6 month supply at my vet. I've used it for a year now and haven't had any problems :) |
depending on where you live revolution may or may not be a good product. I use it on my cat but he is indoors strictly. There have been studies done that show that revolution isn't effective against fleas and ticks for the full 4 weeks of the month. Against everything else it is good, but if you have alot of fleas and ticks where you live then you might want to stay on the frontline. Otherwise, I saw go for it |
Ive been looking in my jb catalog and saw that biospot is alot cheaper than frontline and seems to do the same thing. Ive always used frontline for my dobe and russel, Ive wondered if anyone has tried this. I cant even get anything for nina because the pds start at 15 so shes back to the vet for hers, and I need to get her rabies shot since she is 7 months now. And she started chasing birds like a big shot!! :) |
My vet just called to tell me that she would not recommend me using revolution on tilly & sami, she said this product had some side effects on some pets and and has heard through other vet's in the surrounding area they also would not recommend this product on small, or medium size dogs. she also told me that it may appear to work and because of the convenience of all in one it has become a pretty well talked about product, but there has been findings that a certain percentage of pets been found affected with heart worm an or fleas etc.. SO I guess I will be using what they are use to, at least tilly & sami never had any reactions to frontline plus? but sometimes you just never know these days what is safe? |
