She ate my shoes I have a thing for shoes. I currently have 108 pairs and still growing. Any how I just got the cutest pair of sandals ever and was so excited to wear them. I hadn't even tried both of them on at the same time thats how new they were so you can imagine my shock and complete and utter disgust when I returned home and Tilly had escaped from the kitchen and eaten the heel off of my new shoes:eek: . Oh I wanted to cry..... It wouldn't have been so bad if I could have bought another pair but of course it was the only ones at the store. Puppies..... :cry8: :cry8: :cry8: |
That really sucks! My Shih Tzu did the same thing to me a few years ago. I had a brand new pair of Ralph Lauren shoes that he ate the heel off of. I was devastated. I always kept my closet closed, but this one time I forgot to. |

Oh bummer! Chachi has chewed on my Daughters shoes when he was younger. I would die if he still did it because I leave my cute shoes out all the time |
I feel you. Coco just chewed up my boyfriends expensive invisalign retainers  |
they are such little buggers huh???? |
haaa shoes I LOVE 'EM...Yorkies...I LOVE 'EM TOO.:p |
OH i can totally relate to you on this one. Kelsey loves my work heels...not my flip flops, tennis shoes or anything boring. No she loves mommies expensive, nice heels. Go figure! |
so, do they ever get out of the habit of chewing on things you dont want chewed on? I havent had any problems with kizzy and my shoes yet but she likes to try to chew on the edges of my big throw rugs. grrrrr. she has only put a few knaws on the edge so far. Imma have to kill her yet. lol j/k |
All dogs chew, and most all of their lives! Hey, it's what they DO! Chewing keeps their teeth sharp so they can destroy all that wild prey in the world, don't you know??:p The ONLY way you can have them not chew what you don't want them to chew is keep it out of their reach. Think about it like "baby proofing". You wouldn't leave stuff on the floor you wouldn't want a new crawler to get ahold of, would you? Also, provide them with chew toys and treats that they love love love, and they may leave your stuff alone. It's all up to YOU!:p |

Been there, done that...well, Baby has. I caught her chewing on my Coach pump sandals the other day!   I caught her in time, so there are only a few teeth marks on the heel. :( |
Katy hasn't chewed on mine. She buried them in the back yard. |

I learned the hard way too - keep that stuff WAY out of reach or closed off and your shoes will be safe from the Terminator |
Monte chewed a tiny bit on my Black Bandolino sling backs...humph!! I have a thing for shoes also!! Humph...He didn't do that much harm, I just know to keep them out of his way!! |
The same thing happened to me yesterday! I just got a brand new pair for my bday and they were sooooo cute! Well they are now in the trash can waiting for the trash truck to pick them up on Thursday :( |
Thats just so funny....i have had my wallpaper pulled off....i was not happy at all.....Bella wont chew anything other than her chew, she lives for her chew....mac on the other hand...if it is there..he will chew it...pens, shoes, paper, anything!!! Nightmare:rolleyes: |
Jax LOVES shoes. He's still a baby (13 weeks) so he hasn't been broken of that yet. But when guests come over and take their shoes off, they have to put them up on a table or leave them outside. |

OMG THAT SUCKS! I also have a thing for shoes, and I had the cutest metallic pink pumps, only wore them once and my dog found them and decided he liked them too. I threw them away and he dug them out of the garbage! Now I just keep all my shoes in the boxes so my dog can't get them. |

I think it's something w/ the heels that they like. Thats how my dog is, actually the other day I was at my parents house and I saw him eyeing my wedges, I'm like "Don't even think about it"...so he just looked at them. But yeah why cant the dogs just go after ugly shoes! |
