Has anyone ever tried beneful puppy foo? well Kizzy has had eukanuba and iams so I bought her the beneful food yesterday. She likes it (then again, she likes anything edible). I use to feed my maltepoo that and he loved and did great on it. Its full of vegetables and meat too so it sounds like it is good for her. anyone used it? |
Beneful My son was using it for his jack russell but corn is pretty high on the list of ingredients and can cause allergies. The dog liked it and didn't have problems but she sure pooped alot while she was on it. Now that I am taking care of her, I switched her to what my babies eat, chicken caviar. They all love it and it's not expensive since none of them eat very much. It does have to be ordered directly thru the distributor though. Has anyone else heard of it? It's what the breeder that I got my yorkie from fed all her yorkies. |
Here's the ingredients for the puppy dry formula. Too much corn (cheap filler) and I especially dislike the added dyes. I wouldn't choose it for mine. Ground yellow corn, chicken by-product meal, corn gluten meal, whole wheat flour, animal fat preserved with mixed-tocopherols (form of Vitamin E), chicken, rice flour, milk, soy flour, sugar, sorbitol, tricalcium phosphate, water, animal digest, salt, phosphoric acid, potassium chloride, dicalcium phosphate, sorbic acid (a preservative), L-Lysine monohydrochloride, added color (Yellow 5, Red 40, Yellow 6, Blue 2), calcium carbonate, dried peas, dried carrots, calcium propionate (a preservative), choline chloride, DL-Methionine, Vitamin E supplement, zinc sulfate, ferrous sulfate, Vitamin A supplement, manganese sulfate, niacin, Vitamin B-12 supplement, calcium pantothenate, riboflavin supplement, copper sulfate, brewers dried yeast, biotin, garlic oil, thiamine hydrochloride, pyridoxine hydrochloride, thiamine mononitrate, folic acid, Vitamin D-3 supplement, menadione sodium bisulfite complex (source of Vitamin K activity), calcium iodate, sodium selenite. I fed it to my dach puppy and she did better on that than anything else. She didn't poo any more on it than anything else she ate. I love it but I just can't buy 3 different kinds of food for my dogs. Right now I am in the process of finding a new food for everyone. |
